Tom and his wife come from a great time in our history where a couple works together using their hands and wisdom and knowledge to survive. It's something that is all but lost in this modern age. I would give anything to spend time helping and learning from Tom and although I live closely in the same manner as Tom up in the mountains I still don't have everything exactly as I want it. Close though. To me living off the land and in nature like this is the truest form of living.

Tom could always buy the fur off his trap line and lease it. He could then focus on skinning, tanning and marketing. He could also broker other goods from a website for top furs ect. Like on consignment. Hats, rugs, custom made fur coats. Commissioned items with 50 % deposit to buy the fur would be worth Tom working in the shop. Tough old bird.

Are the lands where they put those traps privately owned? Or is it just put trap anywhere you can?
@BushcraftJones2 жыл бұрын
You gotta have some kind of permission, either private or public land.
@scottdittmer16542 жыл бұрын
Public land is public land except state land that you have to get permission to trap on but then there is state trust land that folks rent so you need state land permission and the renters permission Private land is always by permission only.

Season 10 Ep 4 "Zombie Moose": What a disgusting scene watching a 12 years old girl with her mother trying to kill that moose. It required several shots to kill that animal. That scene should have been deleted or edited in its majority.

@scottdittmer16542 жыл бұрын
Lies according to whom? Simple minded fools disagree with truth as that’s simple to them. Poor guy must not know how to put up fur correctly? Make that weasel into something and it increases the value I make mine into key chain sacks
