A Motorcycle Adventure Dirtbike TV classic - our first fair dinkum go at making a motorcycle adventure movie, featuring the then latest bike on the market, the mighty Yamaha Tenere. This movie is now 10 years old and stills warms the heart of adventure motorcyclists.

You are an absolute genius at making these films. I read your comment somewhere that you produced them in your spare time. That is hard to believe. They are awesome. The best riding was recovering the Tenere. Pillion riding through the river! Amazing river crossings. Pity about Phillipe but you still make the most of it!. I live in Shepparton. I cant believe I have never taken the opportunity to ride the high country. Now it is all I think about. Fantastic. And the music!!!! I listen to your videos as much as watching them. Your commentary is so detailed it can almost paint the picture by itself. The video footage though is stunning. Enough said. Thank you.

If you look carefully when we go to pick the bike up from Davies Hut and Sean is riding it back it's filmed very carefully so as not to reveal the damaged. The right hand side of the bike was truly stuffed.

Wow that was pretty gnarly for the semi-street tires on the Tenere... the fact that it could play with the small nimble bikes at all tells me it's a solid bike. I'd certainly have opted for something lighter than a big ADV bike given the terrain you were covering (the 250 seems like a good choice)

Guys love the videos keep up the good work did my own trip to Innaminka, Cordillo Downs, Birdsville on a mighty DR, used the giant loop panniers rather than Nuggets milk crate. Watching Chris Birch on the 1190, is inspirational best advertising KTM could have done, always look forward to your vids.

We had a similar thing happen in Quebec. A flat tire cause the rider to bail and break ribs too. Since Patrick Trahan was a Dakar racer and on a 250 he would be the quickest to get the 40km out to town.

Rule No 1 when riding in the high country...soft panniers only....rule No 2 it's a hard ride in = a hard ride out with a broken fibula...I dropped the 660 tenere going up Mt Pinabar, and had to ride the bike two days with a broken fibula....bloody nice ADV riding even in winter when some of the roads are still open.
