Crazy thing is they're briefed on the route but have to pay attention to the markers. They dont know the course very well. Holding first is probably an extremely hard thing to do. Not just counting being in first but having to make sure to know where to go without messing up.

there’s a point where your system can flush lactate faster that you can produce it, so you don’t feel the lactate burn (actually it’s nitrogen you’re feeling which is the byproduct) you do still feel pain in your chest from the cardio tho, and mental dulling / physical weakness from your glycogen being depleted

He's pretty amazing, i felt down twice and lost a lot of time at the start, when many people (me too) got implied in a huge accident, i spent almost 5 minutes searching for my bike(it was impossible since there were hundreds of riders coming fast)

I'm pretty sure the purple markers are the course and making those is all that matters. There are officials next to many/most of them to help verify your route and in addition to many of the officials having cameras many if not all of the riders have cameras, which may or may not be used as well to verify a legal route.

Since nobody else has said it. I REALLY appreciate the fact that this man cleans his gopro lens every once in a while. If you do extreme sports or any sport really while recording there is usually that 1 drop of water/mud/dirt thats just there during the whole video and thats annoying
