Lovely film, thank you for letting us hear the wind and other natural sounds and not feeling the need to overlay the video with music! I have the same tent which I shared with my small rescue mongrel dog when we did LeJog. She is gone now, lived to a grand age, but there is no better travelling companion than a loyal dog and yours is a smasher.

Nice 😊 Really well edited and just letting nature speak for itself is a rare treat these days on YT. Thank you for sharing and putting these wonderful videos together. I wondered if you had any tips though on the tent, I have had issue with the fly touching the inner in windy conditions at the foot end, I think Ive see some images of people pegging out the fly to a peg rather than under the poles. Any thoughts? Cheers.
@campinginthewilds8 ай бұрын
Thanks Paul, I have to say I experienced the same problem and I never felt 100% comfortable in wind, I have since replaced the tent with the Nemo Dagger which has more guy out points and prevents the issues with fly touching the inner and is much more robust in the wind 👍 Cheers, Rich.

Nice video mate😍..I’ve got the Hubba Hubba myself ..Fantastic tent 🏕👌🏻..I camp up in the Scottish Mountains as I stay there..I really do fancy camping at one of the tarns( Lochan in Scotland) ..They look really cool and always seem to sheltered well most of the time😂..Is there any you can recommend?..I’ve never been to the Lakes before. Cheers Robert
@campinginthewilds Жыл бұрын
Cheers buddy, appreciate it 👍 Tarn camping is probably my favourite. To be in the mountains and sat by a tarn really is perfect. Sprinkling tarn in in the lakes one of the best spots ive been too, been back a few times. It has increased in popularity though so in summer there can be quite a few campers up there. Cheers, Rich.

Hi, fantastic video 😁 your dog is just the best, what a great team you make👊🏻. I own a hubba hubba and I’m really interested in how you pitched the tent, could you explain how you put the poles with just the footprint, is your footprint dedicated to the hubba hubba or is it a msr universal 2 footprint? Thanks, Rob
@campinginthewilds Жыл бұрын
Hiya matey, thanks for watching the video! I am using the universal msr footprint however I've fashioned knots on each corner rope which forms a hoop for the poles to slot nicely into. It had the advantage of allowing for pitching of the outer first in bad conditions. It works really well for me 👍 Cheers, Rich.

Quality stuff mate, I’ve got a whippet myself and was thinking about some wild camping next year. What’s your one like when it sees a rabbit etc… that’s all I worry about lol
@campinginthewilds2 жыл бұрын
Cheers buddy. We actually have a rabbit that lives in the house and they get on pretty well. However, if he catches sight of a squirrel in the woods he makes a beeline for it. Not actually sure he would know what to do if he caught it mind 🤣 Thanks, Rich.

This was so beautiful! Rocky (read the comment below) is so cute! How do you balance trying to shoot and also being aware of him etc, are there any hurdles? Asking cause I'll probably get a dog sometimes soon and I photograph and shoot while I hike.
