@@r3dcoat397 It is the strongest damage mitigation in the game on a team that is already above average durability. You can easily mitigate 12-16 damage in a game with it, and that's against bolter damage.

My friend plays talons and I always tell him "get those custodes across the board ASAP!" Once they are into the the enemy it "GG". Use the sisters to get the points amd the big guys to run anything down. With a recon dash that's 6" into the board only leaving 16" to hide before the 1st firefight. Imagine a custodes took that recon dash on engage. He would have locked down that objective and furnace for 2TP easy. They are built to not GAF

This mirrors my bheta decima experience with Custodes. Against any high body count team with any mobility buff, the result is more or less assured. Good video as always though, and more custodes games please!

Long timw watcher, big fan, first time commenting.... probably. So when you threw the dynamite 11:42 , you spent a cp on a re roll, but you didnt need to! You had dakka dakka dakka up, which allowed you to change that miss into a hit, as yiu had a crit! Not that it would have made muxh difference to the over all score!

It looked one sided and dice didn't do the talons any favors but really it came down to strategy. The plan implied by the deployment had no chance of success even if the talons rolled great. Two sisters just weren't enough to effectively contest the three objectives by the furnace, and the team wasn't fast enough to dominate the other side of the board and score the points there to make up for it.

Didn't need a CP reroll on the dynamite, you had Dakka Dakka Dakka up so the miss should have been retained as a hit for free

I definitely ran into the same situation with my Talon's as well. Even my friend playing Intercessor's was able to run around me and touch objectives, so even though I was wiping the board, in the end his mobility just got more points (I was running 4 Custodes as well which didn't help). Still a super fun team, and when they do well, they REALLY do well. Also little side note, but is that dice tray just a one off? Or are you guys planning on making it a shop item?

Vic seems to have the same curse as me. I will constantly have weak rolls, and my opponents will just consistently roll well. My last game, my buddy rolled at least 1 crit every attack, and I only succeeded on maybe 2 defence rolls. I was tabled by the end of turning point 2.

Still watching and enjoying. I've just started a Kill Team league locally playing Custodes so.... Question on Talons. I may be playing this wrong, I've not been able to activated it yet, I didn't see that either the sister or custodes were within 6" of an enemy or 2" of an objective. am I just missing something?

Yep. A custodes fire team has two dudes, and you can take two fire teams in the talons of the emperor team.

I came to the comments to say the very same thing. The benefits you get for being leader are lost on the Custode, but are great for a Sister. I could see an argument for Headhunter counterplay, but I personally don't find that reason compelling enough to not make my leader a Sister. I also wanted to point out that the max number of operatives is not 7 as stated in the video, but 10 if you take all Sisters. I haven't tried that yet, but it could work.

Why use custodes as snipers they are 18w first turn shoot 3(peerles warriors + overwatch) times move once, next turn shot, charge, figth in a objective to have 3 apl in that place, and just use the sisters to loot and support

why your custodes always score 1 hit less??? you know custodes hits of 2+ right??? the first turning point the dakka get shot 3 times for 6 damage when should take 12.
