Guys, it would be SO COOL if you integrate this battle report into a narrative 1on1 campaign. You already have those cool intro/presentations. And it could also develop engagements from us. We would be expecting what are the consecuences of each battle and how did you level up/update your operatives/base/experience etc. Could be a side series though, because I love this battle reports as they are :)

I feel like malicious volleys is mostly there just to taunt us. 2 Plasma users, Balefire using psychic shoot actions, and 2-3 melee charge addicts that can't shoot twice since they already used 2 APL on charge/fight. Heavy Gunner w/ heavy bolter is the only way it seems to do anything.

Don't forget Icon with bolter and Tainted Rounds. A 4/5 damage bolter can be pretty deadly. I've even heard about pro players getting a normal Warrior as well instead of one of melee specialists.

Another amazing batrep. I don't think I've ever gotten more for my money from supporting a patreon. I've probably watched hours of your batreps at this point. It's very sad to see the Arbites rules make them so weak. They certainly don't live up to their Judge Dredd DNA. Would love to see you guys put your awesome hand to a learning game of Kill Team, where you explain each move and each step like we're toddlers. Would help me understand the game so much better to see that done in your format.

Me too, they struggle HARD in most matchups. I dont see them doing any good in the near future. Unless they get a big buff to some statlines, i dont see how they can compete.

​@@TheRainfield on Into the Dark they play very well, especially with combat support, and the leader can effectively neutralize doors from being used. They can shot into combat, so charge blocking and non reciprocating shots are easy to pull off.

Hello! :) A few thoughts: First I love your batreps! :) Wasn't the climb-shot-dash down from 13:27 a little bit illegal? You can't dash down with 32mm base that's that deep into an objective? And was the shot not obscured by the walls of the crate? That kind of power moves are supposed to be either perfectly executed or have you finish the activation on the vantage as a cost :) 15:00 - Can Execution Order be used anytime during leaders activation or just at the moment of him activating? Like the first thing he does.

To add on that. The heavy gunner can only move 6 inches in total in the whole activation. So even if you only use 1 inch of horizontal movement when going up and another inch when going down (which is not possible with that base size), you only have 4 inches remaining for vertical movement. I don’t think that’s enough to climb and descend. It should be at least 5 inches for just the climb (1 horizontal and 4 vertical), needing another 3 for the descent (q horizontal and two vertical).

Rules as written you are correct since moves are rounded up per 2"(white circle) part, so 3ish inch up is actually 4. So usually you can only do it if you have a climbing rope or similar. But pretty often people houserule it to be real distance not the dumb shapes and minimum 2" moves, and then you sorta can.

Nurgle Mark allows turning one successful normal save into crit. So a few more crits were saved than the actual roll suggests. But I didn't notice wrongly reduced damage.

At 11.17 you did a charge and fight with the shrive talon killed the guy and took a couple of wounds. But you then threw a grenade? I’m still learning the game so will go into conceal if wrong, but is this not classed as a shoot action? I thought you couldn’t shoot if you charge and fight in the same activation.

You can definitely shoot and fight in the same turn so long as you have enough APL. The core rules state: "Make a shooting attack with one of the active operative’s ranged weapons. An operative cannot perform this action if it has a Conceal order or if it is within Engagement Range of an enemy operative."

Since they released the Critical Ops pack, you can, if you choose 1: Additional Barracade when scouting, place this on a vantage point. It's great for snipers! You still cannot do this for the two barricades you place during killzone setup.
