As a farstalker player, I’d like to suggest that you use cover way more, and always use prey. Running out into open ground is death. Love your channel 😃

He was on a vantage point when he got shot. Fog only affects shooting when the shooter and the target are both on the floor.

Old school 6th edition kroot mercenary strategy ..... hide! Hide and shoot from a distance, soften your enemy and the force them to come to you using terrain... when they get to you attack them all at once .... space mariens suck they are the worst enemy for kroot because they have heavy armor and many wounds. Make them chase you using cover and counter strikes. With kroot prioritizing your targets is essential! I can not stress that enough, focus on your biggests threat and eliminate them using every gun you have .... the move on to the next one rinse and repeat. The problem with space mariens is that they are all pretty high priority and they have lots of tricks to ignore your guys (GW likes to punish none space marien players) 😂 seriously though its important to use their mobility to duck and weave out of the line of danger and set up traps for the space mariens to move in. In the old days they used to have punji traps. Use the terrain to keep the mariens moving then surround and destroy kind of thing. If you are good at playing space mariens do not play kroot or dark eldar or any super fragile army that requires finesse they don't do well in a heavy handed battle of attrition 🤷🏻‍♂️
