Simple trick: wrap a heavy duty wrachet strap around the perimeter of the tire and tighten it. Start adding air as the tire takes the air release the strap before fully aired up. Your welcome~

I have to deal with those wheels on the J.D. 310C backhoe 12X16.5 I'm sure. Nice to learn how that wheel can be made in different ways and why. Wouldn't a rachet strap around the tire push the beads out to seat or won't that work on 10 ply that I also have? Great video.

These tires are so narrow & tough the rachet strap doesnt do any good. A cheetah blaster tank works sometimes but not always. On a wider tire the strap might work better

Don't buy Walmart starting fluid. It is crap for mounting tires. John deere starting fluid has the flash boom you need to seat the beads. No comparison.

Well I have now done that on a skid steer. But didn't think to video it. But at the time of this video these were all brand new wheels. I do have a couple videos where I break down big truck tires. Really about the same except sidewalls on old skidsteer tires are tough & kinda a bear.. Thanks for watching

Your hand...Really ? And did you try to inflate that with the valve core in it? Take the valve core out, and stand the tire up when Inflating. If it doesn't inflate put your knee on the top of it to expand it. Then you can use the cheetah if it fails. You failed with the cheetah because you didn't put a 4 x 4 or a 2 x 4 to support the rim to close the bead on the back side. You only have to pack the bead if you don't have a cheetah. Use rubber gloves if you're going to pack the bead. Murphy's oil soap tire mounting compound comes with a mouse to lube the tire with. Native American...You sure? I bet after you wash your hands. They turn redder than a Native American from the soap. Soap all over the tools.

I don't mind the soap,. Doesn't irritate my skin any. . Usually just wipe the soap off and throw back in the bucket as the tire airs up have done that for years. Skidsteer tires are very stiff & tough . No one's Knee is going to expand it at all, even if a feller weighs 500 pounds. I got em all mounted that's about all that matters.. that skidsteer Is sold and long gone.
