Thanks Dylan and Molly for making this video, and we believe it is a great share for people who wants to try mounting tubeless tires!

Just mounted a pair of these (the tanwall version) on a set of Hunt 44 UDs. They weren't any harder to mount than regular Challenge clinchers - which is to say they were pretty tight but not impossible. The bead set straight away with a regular track pump and still keeping their pressure 2 hours later with no sealant. I'll put some sealant in once they've stretched and settled. So far very impressed.

Hm mine wouldn't set with a normal pump and sealant inside. Looked pretty good but they've lost air within 30 sec. Today i'll try again with a compressor and hope for the best..

Did you try by taking the valve core out? you can force more air through the valve to seat the tyre.

Definitely! It was a stubborn one. These tires aren't the easiest that I've worked with, and either are the rims. As a combo, it's quite difficult the first time around. Luckily, they were easy and trouble free for months after.

if you take out the valve core before blasting in the air you have a much higher chance of seating the bead without the sealant. Also doing so gives you a much less messy way of getting the sealant inside.

Best to put them on with tubes, let them sit for a day, remove the tube only breaking the bead on one side, put soapy water on and inflate it back with a compressor or tubeless air bottle thingy.

So, after a couple rides, is this tire noticeably easier to remove and mount?? thanks.
@dylan-howell3 жыл бұрын
They definitely stretch. I can remove them without a tire lever now.
