Nice work Richard, the body is in really good condition, especially the roof - haven’t seen a steel roof that good for ages! Keep up the great work mate!

Love the tank design mate. I used to work at one of the big steel tank manufacturers and tanks were only ever tested at atmospheric pressure.
@DesignedandBuilt3 жыл бұрын
Cheers Matt, how did you test them?
@matt_c8693 жыл бұрын
@@DesignedandBuilt sorry mate, just saw you replied. Tanks were plugged up and pressurized, than held under water to check the welds for and leaks.

@@DesignedandBuilt Hi Richard, mate, you are consistently impressive. Of all the build channels I watch, and there are a few, you are unique with the Engineering approach, the modelling and the science behind the decisions you make. Its great to see

Wow!! The cab showing it's history. Iv been looking at buying a 60 series but the rust in places that could be there gives me nightmares. I'd offer to paint her for ya 🙌 ship her to Queensland. Can't promise she'll return tho 😂

Using a Unimig Razor 200 AC/DC, really good machine. Do recommend, it gets really good reviews. Try and get a bundle with a pedal and a Trolley if you're going to purchase it! Maybe when the build slows down a little!

Hey Wesley, using a Unimig Razor 200A AC/DC. It's really good and I would recommend getting a bundle with a foot pedal, there are deals on all the time. It's really only good for up to 3mm ally also.

As a engineer you should know that you should of done a hydrostatic pressure test on the tanks, using air regardless if low air pressure or not is the wrong example to use as an example
@DesignedandBuilt3 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, as an engineer I know the atomic structure of gases is smaller than that of water which means it is more likely to leak. A Pneumatic test is widely used in industry, there is nothing wrong with either test method and both have their pros/cons. I need to wash out my tanks anyway so had planned to check hydrostatic at the same time!
