Nice machine..I'm pondering the idea of this or the Xmr gade

I've had the Renegade XMR as well. The Renegade definitely looks tougher. But...I actually prefer the Outlander because it does provide a bit more splash protection.

over a year later, how have the Big horns held up? would you go with them again?

The BigHorns are a great tire selection. I would buy them again without reservation!

Thanks for the video! I have the same quad 2020 xxc 850. Im in the market for new tires and i think im gana go with the big horns, i have the same issue with puncturing the stock ITPs on the rocky trails i ride. I was wondering why did you go with the stock tire size as apposed to a 26"? thanks
@SpeedingMedia4 жыл бұрын
That’s actually a great question. I spent years XC/Harescramble racing. Because of that I’m really critical of how a machine handles. I like to keep the stock tire size due to keeping the weight down and the center of gravity low, which ultimate helps it handle better.

@@SpeedingMedia Thanks for the reply! I was going to go with 26 but now I’m going to order the 25s. Also what skid plate do you recommend? I’m looking at the ricochet aluminum.

@@exhaustclips9907 www.ceccoracing.com is a friend of ours. He makes UHMW plastic Outlander/Renegade skids that are awesome. I don't see any currently on his site but I'd check with him first before you go aluminum. The UHMW skids are pretty much indestructible.
@exhaustclips99074 жыл бұрын
@@SpeedingMedia I figure the aluminum would protect the frame better from getting crushed in by rocks

@@exhaustclips9907 I've done alot of testing with the UHMW plastic and I'm a huge fan. It slips over the rocks and doesn't deform like aluminum skids can.

26:45 these are not heavy lol the outlaws I have are about 45lbs each! Which is why I picked up some almost new big horns for $150. 26/9/14 front and 26/11/14 rears
@SpeedingMedia4 жыл бұрын
Heavy is a relative term, I suppose. These are certainly heavier (and better) than stock.

Nice choice. Cheaper and maybe better is the bearclaw htr. Original maxis is a good looking tire. 2.0 just punctures way to easy. I'll have to check out that tool.

I prefer the original Bighorn over almost everything else out there

You can just run over the teeth of the tire with another car to get the beed off there's videos on it. Watching you struggle with that need breaker was painful.q
