I have never done a body kit on a car like that. I wonder why they don't have mounting points on the underside of the bumper, so you don't have to drill threw the outside of the bumper where it shows like the 1st time you mounted it. If I was doing it i would have epoxied some mounting brackets to the underside of the bumper, then attached it to the car so it didn't show. those new mount pins you installed look much better. I guess you will be able to fill the old holes and paint it when you finish the body work. I have never bought any kind of a body kit but from watching your vid, if I was to buy one, I would make them send me a video of them mounting it so I could see if it had proper mounts and fit before I would buy it .

Yes.. the way you’re supposed to do it is expoxying tabs on the inside(at least I assume) but I don’t trust myself enough to do that and hope it holds the bumper on 😂😂

Just wondering if there is any chance of getting this kit in without cutting the car bits above the wheels or not having the pieces above the wheels. Some how it kills me to cut the original Mercedes.

this kit will require cutting of the body.. and even if you just wanted the bumpers, they are much wider and dont look good at all by themselves

@@chrisdz I see... Did you have to lower the car so the big gap on the wheels wasnt as noticeable? And thanks for the replies! 😉

for the rear bumper i jb welded bars of aluminum from lowes to the rear crash bar to raise it as a lip for the rear bumper to sit on... worked perfectly, for the sides i jbwelded angle brackets then rivnut nuts to them and used bolts trough the trunk into the rivnuts that were in the angle brackets that had been jbwelded to the fiberglass bumper

i probably shoulda went this route with the bumpers.. at least the fender flares are mounted from the inside
