I have served in the United States Navy for 4 years and the United States Army for 6, dual service, OIF OEF 3 tours. I am proud of that. Since the revolution my family has served, my family originally were apart of Truby Rangers in Western PA during the Revolution. My 5th great grand father and my 5th great uncles were on the muster and served the entire war! We have served in every war since! My Great Great Grandfather was Theodore C. Altman who served in the 59th OVI in Company H at the battle of Shiloh, his brother my uncle was killed in action day 2 and he was wounded. His anger for my great great uncles death made him come back and he fought at Chickamauga, Missionary Ridge, and Kennesaw Mountain. His son. My great grandfather Birchard fought in the Argonne, and my grandfather WW2 USMC made all major landings in the pacific then came back and fought in Korea at Chosin, my dad was a vietnam veteran and my nephew is a paratrooper in the 173rd as we speak. Came here in 1749 as German immigrants and still in Ohio and serving to this day! We love this country. Thank you Washington for giving us this! If something ever happens, my oath doesn't expire, I will be back to defend the constitution and the flag.

That is so good to hear, glad there are still teacher's who teach American history and don't degrade our founding father's and constitution! I'm a civil war enthusiast and it is so sad to see the young generation's completely indoctrinated about the civil war, being taught that it was all about slavery and the South is full of racist slave owner's. Understanding true history brings the present time to life IMO, it helps the youth to understand just how important history is! God Bless

@Crab In Prussian no the father's of the Confederacy were fighting to preserve the constitutional Confederate Republic that America was established as in 1776. Lincoln and the North illegally and treasonously implemented a Federal Nationalized Democracy. Geographically the war was fought over Western Expansion. The Union conquered not only sovereign Confederate territory, but also sovereign Native American Territories. Not many understand that the last Confederate General to surrender was a Native American, the leader of the Cherokee Territory! Less than 3%of the Southern populous owned slaves, the men who fought for the Confederacy were fighting for their nation's, private property right's, and the father's of the Confederacy. The Union since 1861 has not believed in private property right's, as American's are taxed for owning their own land. This is constitutionally illegal. Lincoln DID NOT have to invade the South and murdser hundred of thousands of innocent men and women in order to come to an agreement. If Florida seceded today would you be in favor of the Federal government invading Florida? Why was it different in 1861? Lastly, the state's should of had the right to end slavery in their nation, not the Federal government!! The industrial revolution ended agricultural slavery across the world, now we are all slaves in our tyrranical technocracy known as the 🇺🇸! God bless the Confederacy❌ Anti-Federalist

@@rebelsoul5980 Before Lincoln was even in office the southern states succeeded. The only thing they were trying to preserve was slavery as stated by their politicians and written in their state constitutions. Lincoln even addressed this after being sworn in. The average men fighting the war for the Confederacy were duped into believing it was over their rights. The south pushed because they wanted to preserve slavery, Lincoln wanted to preserve the union. Seeing that Europe was thinking about becoming involved he made it about slavery for the north as well. States could end slavery whenever they wanted. Southern states did not want to end it and kicked off a war to keep it. BTW, that "constitutional confederate republic" died during the formation of government because, as the confederacy learned, a confederacy cannot function as a country when each state is its own country and there is no central government regulating the basics

The British idea of having an overseas colony that has little ties with the actual English mainlanders will pay ridiculous taxes, while having no political representation in the empire was ridiculous to begin with. The claim of severeignity was only a matter of time. As for the military, due to its isolaton, the United States were able to avoid war for a long time, when Europe was nearly constantly ravaged by it. It's only since the creation of the European Union that the Europe hasn't seen a large scale war for roughly fifty years.
@mmx4gaming123 жыл бұрын
American military is no where near as strong as it once was and since it hasn't fought a modern army in an extended period then it's a very bold claim to call them the best. Unfortunately no argument you make will be able to change the fact America is becoming weakened by its own people. America's military has also proven in recent events that it still has no idea how to defeat fighters with a cause. So no America is not the strongest in the world. They do have some of the most advanced weapons but weapons don't win wars.

This is something i will not do without just compensation for commercial network documentaries or government owned parks... as i have been in their films too the past 20 years. We were just filming new footage last May to flesh out this overview film. After a year of people either homeschooling their children or actively observing their children in history class at home online in 2020... I observed a massive improvement in local Virginia, DC, Maryland and other American visitors to Mount Vernon. In years past often the international visitor outnumbered the American three to one, and most American parents showed little interest or knowledge to encourage their children. That has changed after 2020, if we can maintain momentum we may find a new patriotism emerge amongst the summer soldiers of our recent past.

Something that you didn't know or you don't want to know is that Spain was the key factor for the win in The Revolutionary War. There is an article from The Massachusetts Society 'Sons of the American Revolution' ( SAR ) called ‘Spain and the Independence of The United States.’ And after reading the article it is not a surprise to know than the Spanish Commander Bernardo de Galvez has the same honour of be Honorary Citizeship of the United States like Laffayete…
