A lot of hand cannons make or break it by the way it looks when your in combat. Some hand cannons have good stats but if it’s clunky and ugly to shoot it’s a waste of time imo. I think adept pali is still to this day the best looking and feeling hand cannon like I can see everything clearly and the combo of killing wind rangefinder was legendary and I really think bungie will bring it back one day

i personally have used igneous a lot (both old and new) and the new one has a consistent recoil pattern and doesn’t kick around randomly, something small that makes it better than the old one, imo

yes, same name and 120rpm hc, but has new perks and some of the stats change because of it, i personally notice a huge difference in deterministic recoil and prefer the new one @@aliscripture9334

Something important on 140 hand cannons that I don’t hear too many people talk about is recoil direction. To me, it’s why dire promise, zaouli’s bane, and cantata don’t feel as good as you would think they should.

As a 180 rpm fan. Crota and Trust are the best for the energy and epitaph(but a very specific roll) for kinetic. Those 3 are the only ones i'd say are worth it. (Honorable mention is a crafted Ikelos with rampage\tricorn paired with radiant it's very crispy imo)

Frontier’s Cry with a reload perk and kill clip is actually one of my favorite weapons to pull out when I’m playing iron banner. Works great in a team shot environment. I use one with compulsive reloader for the insane reload speed up to 9 rounds I believe

The only hand cannon that's won me over on the gameplay side of things is True Prophecy itself, actually. Managed to nab two rolls, both of them Overflow but the one I use the most has Timed Payload. Can't really explain why I love it so much, other than it just feels right to use it.

The ones that xur was selling? He sold a overflow explosive payload and its pretty solid tbh the reload speed is so slow that overflow actually has its uses. Ive personally played the game since it came out and remember trying to get world drops from banshee and turning in literally 500 engrams one season and only got 4 rolls of it none that were good so when i seen xur selling that overflow explosive i was so hyped up lol

i think cantata is deserving of B tier since it has suros synergy. That flinch reduction does wonders, that plus handling for just reloading is huge.

Vulp with Killing Wind and Adagio lets it become a 150 with close to 40m of range with nice stats after a kill. in 6s its pretty good at chaining. For me it's probably the best 180, with maybe Posterity coming in close

Hawkmoon is really good, but not S-tier. To get extra stats you need to already have been in a fight, and the one shot doesn’t happen too often unless you’re way better than everyone else in the lobby. And thorn, although it is my favorite weapon, has super low range, and can only 2 head one body people up close due to low range, and against low resil targets, which is rare in the titan meta. And with smgs being this good, they get to compete at similar ranges. It also has an average mag size and bad stability, plus the exotic kill perk requires you to run at the orb to get it, which you can’t do a lot of times. Next season with catalyst it will definitely be up at A or S tho And I have over 2000 kills on both of these weapons

I got the an adept igneous hammer with the old perk. I would put the old and the new in S tier if you are able to get arrowhead brake on the new one because of the recoil changes the new igneous recoil is to the left and is super bad but if you get the recoil on the new igneous to 100 then you are chilling makes a huge difference imo

About the combined action: While it defo deserves the ranking it got. It can roll hipfire-grip and offhand strike, these 2 together with a freehandgrip mod makes it very fun to hip-fire from bs far. (Also very short and not in the list for obv reasons: back in the day the Duke MK.44 RIPPED)

My brother man really forgot about the world drop of Thin Line void HC. This thing felt great but you had to get the holy roll of Steady Hand, Ricochet rounds, Slideshot and Opening shot. Sits at 65 range and 47 stability at base and when opening shot/ slide shot activate it ramps up to 85/100 range and 77 stability. This thing felt amazing when I last used it before saying goodbye to it for more vault space.

Feel like you should have went into more detail on why you dislike 180's. I'm going to give you some reasons I like them. #1 - At around 65-70 stability - they have by far the best hand cannon recoil in the game (almost non-existent). In fact, at around that stability - they have top 5 all weapons recoil in the game. #2 - WHILE IN FULL AUTO - they have the best target switching of all semi auto weapons in the game (this goes back to having no recoil). So you can X someone and without pausing your full auto firing - move on to the next target as if you aren't even firing. Most semi's cannot do this. With 180's - there's no resistance. #3 - They are more forgiving for missing shots and missing headshots than any other hand cannon class. Not really #4, but Frontier's Cry can hit 92 range with Iron Reach. And if you have Tunnel Vision on it and get a kill + reload - it can have 92 range and 100 Aim Assist. That lowers it's stability to 29. But 29 stability on a 180 is like 100 stability on a 120.

The thing that throws me off on sunshot is the orange dot. I just can’t keep track of it sometimes. It’s even worse on certain maps where it just blends in with the background. I wish there was a way to increase the visibility of that thing.

Hawkmoon is S tier tbh, kind of hard to put it lower than Ace when Memento Mori gives it less range now. With Hawkmoon, the 1 taps are nice but you can have a 2 tap that you can store with either getting 1 kill or hitting 3 headshots, and getting the mag down to 2 bullets(also longer range than Ace now). You can swap to your special and still keep this, you lose this ability with Ace. If you want to go for the 1 taps, a x7 will 1 shot any1 in their super with a headshot

I never take off my old adept igneous with QuickDraw celerity. Very few handcannons that feel as good. Mine has 100 range, which is very noticeable compared to my older rolls

My bottom dollar is so close, I think it's still a pretty juiced roll though. Small bore, accurized, killing wind, eye of the storm, range mw. I wish it had slide shot instead of killing wind maybe surplus to help out in the stability/handling/reload department to make it a stat monster with 2-3 abilies on deck, eye of the storm is really nice on it. Gotta wait for a double gambit rank week again to farm for the perfect roll

the only problem with palindrome as of now is its perk pool should it ever come back with same stats but great range perks (such as slideshot, keep away, explosiv payload or fragile focus) this thing will always sit at around (with all things maxed out to range) at 90 to 100 range which is absolutly insane
