I actually do Have one interesting fact about Dragon's Shadow. When you Dodge with Dragon's Shadow, not only do you get all guns reloaded BUT besides the Mobility/Sprint boost, and Handling Boost but your Reload Speed gets heavily increased. It turns Eriana's Vow Reload Speed from tortoise speed to like almost a Drop Mag Max Reload Speed handcannon

To me that’s what I got used to snap shots and using the best class for me sunbreakers and from learning those when him not drunk lol. the are very easy angles just knowing those make the game easier. And knowing how you need to deal damage closer means more but there is a sweet spot that’s for sure where using a hand cannon you can two shot and survive

what i’ve learned in the past and typically applies here as well is the person hiding behind cover to peek out has the advantage by being able to start the engagement on their timing. the person who isn’t doing it has the advantage of being able to position wherever, so when the person peeks they may not know where and could get the first shot. pretty good stuff to know

This helped tremendously! I've been massively guilty of panicking and rushing my shots all this time. It's like, in the back of my mind I knew that was the wrong approach but having it explained as concisely as you did here and having the visual along with it really helped me to actually put it into practice. I sat down yesterday and made an effort to put it into practice. I made the effort to take my time with my shots and not rush them or panic in engagements and I had some of the best rounds I've ever had. Tip three is something that took a lot of observation from me when watching good players while in their streams, but TAKE THE TIME! Calm down, breath, and take the shot. I went from gold 2 to adept 1 after just a month of consistent practice in scrims and trials Playing against players better then me and the loads of different playstyles made my confidence and ability to defend myself in those “the game is on the line” scenarios more comfortably and I come out on top a lot more often Great guide Love from Sweden

A good thing to mention with the unconventional angle part is the importance that audio takes, you can easily hear someone jumping when they try to do that
@ShadowDestiny3 жыл бұрын
That is true especially in a 1v1 situation. But in the chaos of an actual match, that sound can easily be covered up by all the other things going on. Plus, even if you hear a jump, you don’t know which side they’re going to come out on, or exactly how high they will be, so it still gives a big advantage

How do you fix a lack of coordination and slow reflexes? The only work around I know is to play against opponents with similar physical capabilities.
@ShutchyerLips3 жыл бұрын
In most cases the cure is practice, but it's insanely hard to practice effectively against high level players. It just makes it take longer. If you have the opportunity to consistently practice with people at your skill level, you will see improvement much faster. Also, to continue improving, you have to increase the skill of your opponents as your skill increases or you'll just plateau.
@notsure51113 жыл бұрын
@@ShutchyerLips I ask because I have at least 1,500 final blows on hand cannons (tracked by weapon master works) and still find people who are faster and more accurate with them than myself in at least 90% of the quick play matches i’m in. I favor Steady Hand & Hawkmoon but have recently taken up Ace. The moment I go back to pulse rifles, I perform better. Its very discouraging.
@notsure51113 жыл бұрын
@@ShutchyerLips thank you for that answer. I guess I need to LFG private matches.
@DanielforKing3 жыл бұрын
@@notsure5111 I know what you mean about feeling more capable with a pulse. They are much easier to use. And offer a lower entry level skill bar to be used effectively. However, handcannons, even when “outclassed” by higher Ttk weapons (pulses/autos,) have a higher skill ceiling. And therefore will always have the potential to beat them if used appropriately. I found that putting the time into them and really getting good with hand cannons made me a better pulse player. Once you’re forced to start peek shooting and always hitting headshots with a 140, it makes you a better player all around and you notice the changes when you go back to other weapons. I’m on Pc if you ever wanna hop into a private match and practice. 👍🏼
@ShutchyerLips3 жыл бұрын
@@notsure5111 yeah, I hear you on the pulse rifle thing. I used a lot of pulses when I first started because of what Daniel King is saying. They offer a lot of damage over a good distance because of their grouping, range, and pacing. Unfortunately even if you peak shoot with a pulse, the amount of time you have to stay exposed to get the whole burst out works against you. Handcannons are great because they're the most versatile weapon in the game. Imo if you want to use a 140 in this meta, you have to be really good already since the ttk relies on crits and never missing. 120's are much more forgiving, as you get 20 more damage per shot at a farther range than 140's. I could talk all day about what good weapon balancing would look like, but I'm happier and more sane when I just focus on what we have to work with lol. Steady hand can be good if you get the right roll, but imo there are much better options. My favorites right now are my true prophecy with overflow/rampage, and my igneous hammer with outlaw/rampage. Notice how both guns have reload perks and damage perks that don't rely on the reload? That's the weakness of 120's, the reload delay. If you can bypass that, it's a much stronger weapon that's capable of lasting damage output for more duels, which increases survivability. The other side of that is what weapons you use most effectively in situations when you're not using your primary. The answer to that shows your current play style. If you're unsure of what weapons are most effective or most fun for you, then you just need more practice with all of them. I'm also always down for private matches for practice/teaching/learning/fun. I'm on PC in NA. Let me know if you ever want to practice together.

I do like my explosive payload especially on night watch, but for true prophecy I’d recommend timed payload. While you deal more flinch per shot with explosive, the time between shots is enough for someone to quickly correct and dome you with an opening shot sniper. Timed payload gives you more flinch opportunities, and catches most people off guard. Your ttk could be slower if you miss a headshot, but if they can’t hit their shots it’s not going to matter too much

5:00 weirdly enough, my Steady Hand with Iron Grip actually feels worse than my Sureshot, almost no stability steady hand. This is on console too. With steady hand specifically, recoil that kicks a lot actually makes it easier for me to hit shots. More info for how I aim. I never pace my shots and that's cause of a fear I developed of slowing down my ttk, when I should instead hit my shots. I need to practice pacing if I'm having a bad aim day. At my best, I never need to pace and I always hit my shots. I noticed that I tend to always slide too far out of cover, and I also don't use cover for peek shots. Idk why but I don't. So next time I play, hopefully tomorrow if the servers are stable, I'm gonna practice my peek shots.

Love these vids. They really change my pvp progress and give me courage if not just motivation. Do you have advice for 2vs1 or other irregular situations?

Console: Recoil Direction 95-100 is the only way to hit constant crits after 5 years of Destiny for me. Good job

After looking through all my hand cannons I found that basically all of them have 95 or 100 recoil direction, pretty interesting

Hopefully this should help, the mouse and keyboard nerf ruined handcannons for me altogether, especially 120s due to the recoil pretty much making you backflip with each shot

A quick tip also: Rumble is your best coach and friend because it's all on you to get your kills on your own so you're kinda forced to get better

I really have lately been investigating what I do best with in terms of handcannons For the longest time I was a huge thorn user for the longest time, then I used the igneous hammer and smacked with it Nowadays my aim is lacking overall even when I've felt I "warmed" up enough so now I am lost a little on what to do next
