Thanks for the detailed review on the 25L version. Something worth noting is the 18L version (which is the one I bought, and the one I assume is more popular) has some inconsistencies with the 25L you're reviewing, and these inconsistencies aren't mentioned on the website! 18L has no side handle, no key holder, no bottom external latch points. None of these missing features are a deal breaker for me so I personally don't have buyer's remorse, but anyone looking at the 18L version may want to take this into account.

Thank you! This was important to know because I was thinking of buying the 18L. I have external straps on another bag I own, and never use them (and I bought it with using them in mind, I hate the bag though because the backstraps NEVER stay in place after adjusted for my height) so I don't think it's an issue... buuuut I'm also very picky and probably will use it for a hoodie. The key holder, though, is integral. I'll never use the handle. It's so weird because they're so transparent in their marketing, why not say that on the website?! Although, the images are slightly different and it's still on pre-order. The image doesn't feature the bottom straps or handle but the key pocket seems to be there.

I have this backpack since February. It has a solid build and keeps my laptop protected, but it is HEAVY! Its weight makes me hesitate to grab it whenever I go out. And because it's heavy, it makes the luggage strap hard to use; especially, when I was trying to unload it from my luggage.

@smudg39

D*mn, I just bought it. It says on the website the bag itself weighs at 1.8 kg. The bags that I use are typically 1 kg. I will get the feel of it, then return it if it becomes a nuisance. But I really love the features that it gives. Even though it's 250, they have a lifetime warranty. Literally the only backpack that you need in your life.

I've had this bag for about 4 months, and I have fallen in love with it as my EDC. I tend to be heavy in the tech I carry, but I love that I can carry everything I need whilst knowing its protected. The false bottom is padded in some type of foam which gives me a lot of confidence that my electronics will be protected if I drop my bag. I like to use the rear section as my laptop, tablet, and document carry, and the main volume for bulky items like clothes/shoes.

@@Nomads.Nation Humble in sharing the success as well 👍 I think your channel has potential to explode, but maybe a couple limiters at play. How often are people shopping for bags? Once every few years maybe. If you can tie in topics to keep people interested more often, excellent. Second, the cursing kinda marginalizes some people, no? @@Nomads.Nation Being in Hong Kong and Vietnam, there seems many side topics Americans would be interested to see. How about visiting one of the many Hong Kong bazaars for knick-knack shopping where a bag may come in handy. What is it like to grocery shop in Hong Kong? Save some plastic and take a bag! How about an overnight stay-cation? Of course packing your items in one of the many great choice bags. This IMO is a perfect design for a backpack that can transition between EDC and couple of days travel The Bellroy Venture is another good backpack of the same ilk. What Mous gets right is that the laptop is a separate compartment. What it gets wrong is the weight and over engineering. Overall this is the style of backpack I'd get if it has a better brain pocket (like the Bellroy) and a mesh water bottle pouch..and while we are at it increase volume by 3-4 liters will make it a perfect weeklong travel pack

I have a backpack that on the back section it has a hidden pocket directly in the middle in between the two should padding cushions, which has a pull out long wallet to hold passports & a couple credit cards on one side with a zippered pocket to hold cash on the opposite side… it’s nice that it’s on the back as it would never get used unless the bag is taken off… I think it’s the best pocket ever to have on a backpack

Can take or leave the back pocket for me, but nice to have if it’s there. I’m getting more skeptical of the designated air tag pockets, because if the bag is stolen, it’s the first place a thief knows to look to get rid of it. While it’s not super conspicuous, they’re not not that hard to spot either.

Between this and the AER City Pack Pro, which would you recommend as a mostly EDC? Grad school / working professional + some occasional travel. I really like both in terms of design. I like the weather resistance, security, & inner linings of the Mous, but it’s heavier & it seems like the back panel/shoulder straps aren’t as comfortable as the AER (not sure on this though). I’m leaning towards the AER since it’s lighter, has a better layout for easy access, seems to have more comfortable straps/back panel, plus it’s cheaper. The main con for me is it’s not as weather proof, but since the laptop section has an aqua guard zipper I feel like that’s manageable. And I think the AER nylon has a fair level of water resistance too. (I don’t want to get the XPAC version because of the orange lining lol). I’d love to hear what you think between these two bags. I really wish I could see both of these before buying, so your opinion would be very helpful. Thank you!

Can’t go wrong with either tbh, but I’d give the slight edge to Aer.

This is the love child of the Boundary Supply Errant and the Nomatic Navigator. Mous did some research on that two Packs. The sturdy build from the Navigator and the quality materials from the Errant (with some features that Mous just copy/paste on their product). Unfortunately they also used all the features I don't like about the Navigator. Therefore I just ordered the Errant Pro.

Thanks! I ordered this to protect my MacBook Pro and Vision Pro (in a waterfield case) for weekend trips. I don’t mind weight if the protection is good. Speaking of protection… I’m looking for a 4-5 day backpack for my iPad Pro and trombone mutes (maybe the Vision Pro) that fit under the Southwest economy airline seat in front of me while still having a business looking aesthetic. That being said, the height of the main storage space when it’s on its back needs to fit my mutes (the largest of which is 6.5 inches wide) which currently works in my cheaper 40L Dinictis bag (as long as I don’t over pack it), but that bag doesn’t have as much protection for my mutes. Any recommendations?

I hessitate cause the pricetag but also the weight. Think the functionality of a lot of things with this bag is good but not everything is very practical. Like the little spot on the side for ur keys is great but... most keys are very bulky... so will this be practicall in that little thin place for ur keys or will it bulk out through the material? The bottom where u can put extra stuff like a jacket or yoga mat is great, but that means i wont be able to put my bag down on the floor cause my jacket is gonna be dirty or it wont stand on a table anymore...
@Nomads.Nation
@Nomads.Nation Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback! I think you bring up a great point about the keys - they usually are fairly bulky these days. And yes, the goal isn't to permanently keep your jacket there - it's just an extra space to carry things in times of need. Then, when you get back home - take your jacket off and good to go!

Should be delivered tomorrow! Noticed on the sternum strap there’s that web stopper piece of elastic, but not one on the strap that shuts the main compartment, where the fidlock is. Any idea where I’d get one from that could fit that strap? Not sure what to even search to find one?

The 25L is the only backpack that has the airo foam inside the backpack. It's also the only one with a lot of compartments. The 18L although is smaller and more comfortable and lightweight. It's missing a lot of compartments and doesn't offer the same protection as the 25L. The 25L with lid anyway. I recently bought the 18L with lid and I was so disappointed to find so many missing pockets and no airo foam at the bottom, like on this backpack. Huge deal breaker. It does not justify the £219.99 price tag. The 25L is priced same as its competition like peak design for example. But the 18L should not be £219.99. It should be £150 maximum. But £120 would be the fair price. It's shocking just how much is missing. Some people will like it and say we don't need that many pockets anyway. You say that now, but when you get it, you'd be disappointed. No umbrella pocket inside, no zipped pockets on the flap, no waist strap and not even that magnetic key fob that comes with the backpack on the side zip. There's nothing mous can say that will justify the price

Not everyone needs lots of pockets (like me, I prefer to use pouches) but I do get what you are saying about the price point
@mohammedfaiisal
@mohammedfaiisal Жыл бұрын
@@Nomads.Nation yeah, but the fact that it doesn't have useful pockets like the umbrella one inside the backpack, or wasted space below the only zipped pocket inside. The flaps not having zipped pockets either. The foam inside the tech compartment is not even in the 18L so the price should at least be half of what it actually is. The 25L is expensive but justifiable because of the competition, the 18L is way over priced. I've requested a refund for mine, just waiting on that. It's a shame because the backpack is a decent size. Just a reminder that the 18L has probably half the compartments of the 25L. 18L has too less and 25L has too much. If it was in between, it would have been fine. If I open the 18L bag the way you did, to take that umbrella out. I wouldn't be taking much out, because the inside is not constructed that well The depth being fixed and not adjustable is a shame though. 12 expandable to 18 would have been nice. Or 18 expandable to 24. But that's a different conversation. When your backpack is finalised and ready, I fear you will price it for over £150. Even though I'm sure it'll be a great backpack. But I hope you have two versions though. Smaller one would be nice, as not everyone needs a big backpack

The loose, dangling straps on every side of this backpack make it look sloppy and, in my opinion, ruin the aesthetics of the backpack. Especially the long strap on the Fidlock buckle, which also looks terrible and out of place. As for external carry, I hate it. It does nothing to protect your items, looks incredibly sloppy and runs the risk of items falling off/being lost. I tossed the external carry straps for my various backpacks in a drawer somewhere in case I sell one and want to pass the straps along. If there isn't internal organization or space for an item it doesn't get carried via the backpack. That's just how I choose to carry, right or wrong, because aesthetics and a streamlined look matter.

The backpack looks good but the mouse sale service is totally useless. Items don’t arrive to destination because the mistakes mous makes in the shipping process. But the worst thing about it is they never update you regarding the delivery status. You can be waiting forever thinking that your order is on its way and it will never arrived to you without any comments or emails from mous. I ended up cancelling my payment through my bank. Unfortunately it is happening to a lot of people aro7nd the world. If you value for money don’t buy mous
