I have one of the most incredible mice i have ever come across. A wild mouse manages to get in and out of a wired cage every night and eat my pet mousies food. I have tried everything from wrapping the entire cage in cling-film but that tiny little wild mouse gets into the cage regardless of what i do. I have a degree in Psychology yet have been outsmarted by a tiny mouse over and over again for the last 3 weeks. It is truly astonishing.

I usually use snap traps on mine. One time, the trap didn't kill. 😭 I popped it into a bucket. I named the injured mouse, "Mortimer," then decided that was too dark and just called it "M" which became "Emily" when she pooped out 4 pink "pea-sized" squirmles. Emily was not okay from what the trap did to her. Despite seizures, she took immaculate care of the squirmles until one morning on my way into work, I found she was no longer moving. 😭 I got kitten replacement milk and did my best to surrogate her 4 orphans. One survived and was named "Lil Squeaker" coz my cleaning job was nowhere near as gentle as mama's. I wound up with walking pneumonia in the process of trying my best. I tried to release Lil Squeaker, but he wouldn't leave. Then one day my dog caught a mouse in the house. I trapped it and released it into the woods. So glad I was gentle coz... it was Lil Squeaker. I never saw him again.

A friend of mine reached out to me asking if I could adopt her friend's male mouse because she was moving and couldn't take him. She asked me because I have rats and she knew I loved all rodents, I was iffy but eventually said yes because I couldn't bare the thought of him going to a bad home or be used as snake food 😞.. it took a while for him to warm up to me, I endured lots of bites, but he turned out to be the sweetest boy and my best little buddy! His name was Basil and I miss him dearly. I never knew mice could make such lovely little pets ❤️
