It looks like a cake but it is not at all a cake. its a traditional Cottage cheese recipe that is easy to prepare. Something that you have to try without fail. A delicious recipe that will surprise you and your family beyond expectation
Ingredients
Panner Marination
Paneer ( cottage cheese) 150 gm
Chilli paste 1 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Garam masala 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
All-purpose flour 1 tsp
Corn flour 1 tsp
Curd 1 tbs
Oil 2 tbs
For masala
Oil 2 tbs
Onion 1 chopped
Green chilli 2 chopped
Tomato 1 chopped
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Capcicum 1 medium size (sliced)
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
Chat masala 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Kasuri methi 1 tsp
Coriander leaves 1/4 cup chopped
Water 2 tbsp
For mixture
All-purpose flour 1 cup
Egg 2
Salt 1 tsp
Pepper 1 tsp
Oil 3/4 cup
Milk 1+ 1/4 cup
Preparation
1. Take a bowl and add the ingredients mentioned in Panner marination. Marinate the panner for 10 minutes
2. Fry them for 2 minutes and keep it aside
3. Take a pan and add 2tbsp of oil and prepare the masala by adding the ingredients mentioned in Masala section
4. Once prepared, keep it aside.
5. We need to prepare the filing mixture for our pola. For that, take a mixer and add the ingredients mentioned in mixture section and grind them.
6. Take two bowl of equal size and add the split the mixuture into equal portions.
7. Now its time to prepare the pola recipe. Take a tawa and heat it.
8. Keep a pan on top of tawa. We are doing this inorder to equally distribute the heat.
9. Grease the pan with ghee and then add the first portion of the mixture.
10. Close the lid and cook for 5 minutes
11. Once cooked, add the prepared panner masala at the centre. Dont add it at the corners
12. Now, add the second portion starting from the corners. Cover on all sides.
13. garish with capsicum, carrot and coriander leaves
14. Close the lid and cook for 20 to 25 minutes in low flame. and keep it aside
15. Take another pan and grease with ghee. place the top portion of pola and let it cook for 2 minutes
16. Our panner pola is ready to serve!
