The two resistors at the USB-C connectors CC1 and CC2 pins are required for a potential USB-C power sourcing equipment (= host) to activate our beloved 5V for our device. This is due to the USB-C connectors power bi-directional nature, which, unlike the old USB-A and USB-B/Micro/... connectors, no longer physically encodes who is sourcing and who is receiving power. "USB 3.0 Power Delivery" is something else.

The resistors on cc1 and cc2 are correct they’re there for 5V in either orientation of the usb c cable

Yes correct, I was referring to one of the other USB-PD power output levels, which could be at different voltage. To be honest though, we filmed this awhile ago so I don't recall the PMIC on this design or if it will support that higher power level.

USB 3.0 uses 6 data pins with dedicated RX and TX lanes.
