This episode is one of the least watched and least commented on because this guy is someone who was actually VERY SUCESSFUL in the US and is not making any excuses !! He is not saying how difficult it is to make it in America, quite the opposite he literally joined the Navy , then went to college and then got a job at a top company and then invested in the stock market and made a bundle of money and then built a mansion in Ghana! Unlike most of the other guests who were mostly not college educated ,unemployed and living on government benefits before coming to Ghana !!

Yup the difference is the education and mindset. Here in America our education system has students look at problems through different lenses to find solutions. In Ghana it’s different. But it’s our job to help Ghanaians come to the realization. So shoutouts to you Rush!

Love this…True, the average individual does not study, self-education, reading personal development books and putting the principles into practice, practice and more practice. Lack of self-education is a general worldwide phenomenon and has nothing to do with Africa. When you begin the journey of self-education you realize that the true real estate you have is your MIND and has nothing to do with where you find yourself, your heredity or your environment. “Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.” ~ Jim Rohn

Tell me why everyone's talking about building homes, but not talking about building roads and side walks in Africa, make me understand that?

Exactly. It is shocking to see dirt roads in the capital and in the area where they have some really nice hotels. They need to do better it does look good before they invite people to come visit their country put in some infrastructure first.

I had the same thought while in Ghana. It was explained to me that roads are the responsibility of the Government, you have to go through them to bid for a contract to build roads which will likely go to someone closely associated with the Government. This explains why it’s taken so long for roads to be constructed.

@@suziebosley Seems like they not doing enough or moving fast enough this has to be addressed I was surprised to see all these mansions amongst all these dirt roads when I went there. So you're telling me all the government's are the same even the one who's in power right now? People in Ghana aren't fighting so anything naa this can't be going on forever. This is one of the reasons people don't want to stay in their country, like come on roads are a right for the people of Ghana the pay taxes right?

Sadly it’s because roads are the responsibility of the government. Pretty sure private individuals would if they could.

@@thekorsh4230This roads network problem does not peculiar to Ghana alone. You can find the same problem in many African countries

Always finds a way to misrepresent the U.S. You lived in a bad part of New York. There are extremely beautiful barber shops and salons in New York. They are even over the top in Atlanta Georgia, Charlotte N.C, California, Washington DC and many other places owed by African Americans or you may prefer Black Americans. I took a chance to see if you would do better this time. Every part of your prosperity there came from your supportive family and teaching with exposure to winning and winners. I have celebrated your success and your tenacity to win and persevere. I'm from New York. There is the good and the bad. There is not one perfect country in the world. We must do better. Then Ghana can be great. peace is better.I go to salons in east Legon. I see the nice place there. Make the time to go to Manhattan in New York. People from foreign countries fly to New York on their private jets just to have lunch for the experience of simply dining in New York. Balance is the key. We must not divide. Let's just do better so we can marvel at the new Ghana soon and appreciate each other. True Winners is what we are and will be if we fight past the negativity on both sides and stick to the positive.

Formal education is all about acquiring critical thinking skills that is necessary for informal education. Making it in life is about 90% all on you. Everything or everyone else contributes 10% or even less. Depending on Ghana government is complete waste of time. Useless is not enough to describe that colonial and corrupt institution.
