The first time I went to London was October, 2018 for a week. I loved it so much I went back May, 2019, then covid hit. I went back for my third time in November, 2022. I love it so much. The underground transport, the free museums including the British Museum, the theater, the pubs, the king's guard. It's all wonderful. I went to Chinatown on my last visit but couldn't remember the name of your favorite restaurant. This video was such a wonderful "prequel" to your channel. Great work.

I went to London for my 60th birthday (a gift from my daughter!!). My husband and I went to the British Museum and fell in love with London and it’s wonderful museums. Thank you for the re-look at a great memory! I love watching your blogs!! Keep up the good work! PS-my birthday is this week and I turn 75 this year and wish I was back in London!!! I can relate to a lot of what you talk about and how much you miss Vietnam. My ex is from Vietnam and I have visited twice and love it. The family welcomed me with open arms and everyone I met was so friendly and hospitable. The best part about Vietnam was the food and how cheap it is there. Love all the street food. I have been to many countries from my 18 to my 30 years. I did the 5 continents for my work at the time. Now I only travel between France and Israel, my two countries, because I am French and Israeli. I went to Quebec, to the United States where I did the 4 corners lol: New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Seattle. in Argentina (often... too often). Maghreb countries: Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia. South Africa too. I also lived in Sydney then in Japan and China. Naturally I lived for a long time in Israel (where I still have a house in Beer Sheva). For Europe, I went to Germany, Poland (visiting the few members of my family still in this country and pilgrimage to the Nazi death camps), Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, L England: London, Durham, Bornmouth and Southampton. Traveling has allowed me to learn many languages (I speak 5 fluently) and above all to learn about different cultures and ways of life. After a short period of uncertainty, I was finally able to succeed in doing the job that I love above all: legalist in France (labour law, social law, corporate law) and criminal and international law lawyer in Israel. All this while doing, for almost 2 years now, another passion: the Boys Love 🙂

I enjoy your videos and your positive outlook on life. This one resonated for me, as I also took a foreign internship as my first placement following university. I left my home in Montreal and moved to The Hague for a six month internship, experiencing the same feelings of isolation, loneliness, and immersion a culture very different from my background. However like you I learned to find the interesting spots and museums and became focused on learning to enjoy my life in this new location. When I returned to Canada I had a different outlook on observing and learning which served me well through years of business travel and even allowed me to accept promotions which required me to re-locate to different cities. I'm now 75 and retired for 15 years and have always maintained that I continue to find certainty through exploring uncertainty, so please continue to enjoy and explore. Your international experience will serve you well both professionally and personally in the coming years. I wish the best of good fortune, health, and happiness in your life.

i have come to spain a month ago because of my university studies and this was the first time i traveled alone, go to a country where i have nobody, and the first time being away from my family, i feel like i am currently living in the years of 19 year old Nhan, i dont have close friends yet and i am not making any income, so seeing how much you grew and how much you wish you told your younger self that it will be okay and that you will fine is really encourging to me and is giving me hope for my future, i hope i do well and i hope to start a YT channel one day documenting my life and journey just like you and thank you so much for this video it really meant something to me.

Thanks for your charming video about your first days in London -- reminiscent of my own first days there many years ago, when I lived in a pension just off Russell Square, while doing my graduate degree studies. As an American, I am shocked that our wretched government regulations made it impossible for you to get employment here: you, like many of my Asian language students would have been an ideal citizen. But I am glad that, despite initial challenges like loneliness, you've found a good home and friends in the UK.
