Oh Ashley, I'm so glad these movers were decent & not to many problems with them. But your broken dryer, I would turn in an account for that dryer, either fix it or replace it & hopefully, your washer works or do the same for it! So glad to see you have your belongings back. As a Military family, we’ve moved so many times so I can relate to the stress of not having what you need. Hopefully you took pictures of all the damaged/broken items, you can file a claim with the company (companies) to be compensated for those items. If you buy the panel for your dryer, forward the receipt to the company for reimbursement; or they would need to reimburse you for a dryer. Well wishes to you & the family. 💛

I am so Sorry, this happened to you. Moving is so not fun. We moved from California back home to Oklahoma. And we hired a crew to do the move forward. They did our stuff that we had in storage. Since we moved to California and they boxed it up. It looked decent when they did it. But the company stayed on the phone with my husband for like an hour. Wanted to argue with me about how much space we needed. I told him exactly how much space we needed. And not that I'm perfect, but my estimate was right on and he kept telling me. Well, we don't want you to pay for space. You're not gonna use so we took his word for it. The guys get there to pack up our storage unit. And they had a whole truck. But they said well, you're only supposed to use half this truck and we're like, but you're supposed to take everything out of here. Why would you schedule to pick somebody else up? You never know what might happen. So our stuff took up that whole huge truck. And then that was the next charge. They wanted the money before they finished packing it. We already did the deposit to the company on the phone. Then we had to pay the guy that was loading the stuff. Then we had to pay them again once they got to Oklahoma to unpack the stuff and then told us that we were supposed to have money orders and everything. The part that upset us the most is they never told us. It was gonna be a 3 part payment and it was a different company handling everything. We were so upset. We were like we will never do this again. This is just ridiculous. And way too expensive

Glad you received your boxes. In your next move you may want be mindful of what is being packed together in the kitchen. Do not put lass in with pots and pans. Where is the bubble wrap around the glass items. Metal with glass together is a disaster waiting to happen.

You could get one of those triangle nets that fits in a corner top of the wall for stuff animals. My granddaughter got one for her little girl.

Buy strong black bags or garden bags green they are strongest, fasten a couple of buttons if items have them position items on coat hangers properly, take coat hangers in groups of ten tie together with tie wraps around the coat hangers together then place inside a bag with a hole for coat hangers to slot through the hole tape bottoms of bags if possible, when you arrive at your new place they can be hung straight up . Other items put in vacuum bags for each person then they can go straight into draws x

So glad you finally got your things. I'm just sorry all the stress they put you through. I bought books shelves you put together at Walmart with storage bins in my bedroom for extra storage. They are taller so you can store quite a bit plus your things are in bins. Might work for Adrian. Have a great week Ashley.

I would take photos and use the documentated video of the damages to file a claim. Not only did you spend an obscene amount money to move plus the loss of items you couldn't take but add on the damages and you are due back $. Wishing you all the best as you settle in 👍🏡📦📦📦

An option for the stuffed animals could be some hanging corner nets. That will get them off of the floor, bed, etc.

I seem to think the movers are also clumsy in transportation. Oh wow your Samsung Washer & Dryer was really your favorite to use? Now I know why you usually wait until you get home from big vacations to use them. Sorry your movers damaged your washer & dryer and some of your other things. Prayers things will get better for you

For your daughter's room. Maybe consider the metal wire storage drawers from IKEA to get you through til you're in the new house. Then they can be used in a closet when you move and you can put the money into a better dresser that will fit her permanent room. Also hope the Pokemon cards were safe. So glad for a happy ending. What about a bean bag they make to fill with all her stuffed animals. Next move, if it’s not far, leave your clothes on the hanger. Get large black yard garbage bags. Snip a slit in the bottom of the bag and put the bag over the hangers like a dryer cleaner bag. Tie the opening on the bag and any clothes that slip off stay inside the bag. Then when you get where your settling hang the clothes on the rod and cut open and off the bags. Ta da! Less wrinkles and all ready to go. Plus over the years and 10 moves we’ve learned it’s best to use a majority of the medium or small size boxes. The large ones are crap.

I’m so glad you got your belongings back, I am however, outraged for you that so many of your things were damaged. The company really should reimburse your for the dryer. A broken glass here and there is to be expected in a move, but not damage to a large appliance. I will be praying that you are reimbursed for the damage.
