When I open Network-> Communication and select serial , this message pops-up: "No serial communication plug can be added because all COM ports are in use" Any Inputs?

Hello. This is an issue in Windows when all the USB ports are in use, or it is having issues adding another serial COM port when you connect the USB adapter. Some fixes are trying a different USB port on your computer. Another thing you can try which is more advanced is to go to Windows Device Manager and delete COM ports that are no longer used. Then reconnect the USB cable to see if a new serial COM device shows in the Device Manager list at the bottom of the page under "Universal Serial Bus controllers". Make sure to restart Movitools MotionStudio after connecting the USB cable to get the software to attempt reconnection.

Hello. Are you getting a fault code? You can check the license level of the Movidrive B by looking at parameter P079 and seeing if it says "standard" or "technology". With the "technology" license you can use the Application Modules in the MotionStudio software. If you're getting a fault stating a "technology" function was activated that is talking about a special feature of the Movidrive B such as electronic cam and it's not talking about the license level. Please check parameter P078 and change it back to "standard" if one of the special features such as electronic cam operation was accidentally activated. If you meant to upgrade the license from "standard" to "technology" you would need to contact your local SEW-Eurodrive office to purchase the activation code and instructions of how to upgrade it remotely in the field using MotionStudio.
