i really like this custom as its a car that Mattel would never print, as the movie has a lot of adult humor and not to mention the simulated hair which would be torture to a machine to mess with, your idea to use the grass as the hair was really smart and looked good on the final product.

Great work! I actually know the guy who owns the real van. It's really fun getting to ride around downtown KC like we're on our way to Aspen. I wish I would've known you were working on this, I could've sent you all the pics you wanted haha.

Nice to see a British Mk1 Ford Transit van used in a conversion. When the van came out in the late 1960's, it was quickly embraced by the criminal community - it was a big van that handled like a car, and a fast car at that. The police hated it for two reasons - it was anonymous; most were left factory white: and it was considerably faster than most of their patrol cars. A deeply loved British vehicle. The body, engine and trim variations of it number in the hundreds of thousands.

Great job! That is one of the hardest "movie cars" to duplicate. I have made my own Mutts Cutts can as well. I used van more like an econoline (I believe Yatming makes it), although it was cheaper in quality. I used a light beige felt and it came out okay, but didn't look as shaggy as yours. To make the ears, legs, tail, ect. I used cardboard. I find it to be a very pliable material, good for almost any occasion.

That was a great job and a very good result. The van is actually to scale, if you look up the real Ford Transit Supervan by Terry Drury racing you will see just why it is that shape. It was made back in the 60s as a promotional tool for the release of the Transit van. As per usual Hotwheels made the original and then made numerous completely unrelated versions of the van.
