His work on JFK is the greatest camerawork I've ever seen. It broke the rules: 8mm back to Super8 to still photos to B&W, back to colour, 35mm to 16mm - stunning.

Thank you! This is definitely my favorite out of our interviews. Richardson's passion for what he does was really inspiring for me.

Incredible Interview, Robert is such an amazing and incredible humble guy, i loved how he described his first works like a kind of Trial by Fire, and how he says that he would destroy marriagues just to keep doing what he loves, that´s just pure passion and heart! thank you very much!

This is such an insightful and an incredible interview with one of my cinematic Heroes! I am and have been a huge fan of Robert Richardson's work for years! Many films I went and saw purely because Robert Richardson was the Cinematographer on that project. He is the reason why I am now attending film college and working on my BFA in cinema/television with aspirations of becoming a cinematographer myself. I found myself learning a great deal about Robert Richardson and I just admire and appreciate his amazing work so much more!

This is an absolutely amazing interview, great questions and insightful answers from Mr. Richardson! I wish the photos were edited a bit better so they represented each film he was discussing (rather than random photos from his filmography) but that is a nit-pick and I'm very grateful to you for your fantastic interviewing skills and for uploading this for us filmmakers!

You're in luck, because he talks a lot about Stone in the interview.

If he's still employable by directors like Stone and Scorsese, then he's amongst the top cinematographers. Oh and I'd believe an academy award over your bullshit comments any day.
