My father was a DP in Hollywood. He worked extensively with now-Robert Richardson during Mr. Richardson's early career. I loved watching Bob's cinematography growing up, especially his work on Shutter Island. I remember writing a series of blog posts in an IB drama course about his work. My drama teacher was impressed! I credit Bob with my high grades for that course.

RR has gotten a lot more balanced in recent years. That blasting top light always used to drive me crazy when he shot for Oliver Stone.

I get what you’re saying but in JFK especially I really liked it. Especially when it was on Costner or some of the witnesses, to me it felt like stone and Richardson were showing how these people were the ‘shining’ beacon of hope in the JFK case. Just my 2 cents though, great video
