In movies, a lot of the actors wear heavy cowhide leather to protect them from falling and being hit by items such as broken glass. In the old westerns, you will notice that when the cowboy finally runs out of the burning barn (only to get shot) he is always wearing leather jeans. On one movie where the set really caught alight, although it was not in the script, the guys were rolling on the flames to put them out with their leathers. Do you like wearing leathers for rough wear.?
