why the heck is Wolfman relegated to a january release? Each of Leigh Whannel's directorial projects has been more successful than the last and this is the biggest IP they've let him run with so far. It should've been a big halloween release.

My Sunday is complete now I’ve watched the movie news episode! I’m seeing Wolfman next week - I like the fact this is a different take on classic werewolf movies and am looking forward it, despite the middling reviews. Sad to hear David Lynch passed away - A true visionary filmmaker. Avatar 3 - Looking forward to this, however I get the feeling it’s the same thing over and over again, so maybe a case of diminishing returns. We shall see. Supergirl - The last attempt at this was pretty awful, so hopefully this new version will be better. The Oscars - Not sure if it’s feasible, but I think you should definitely have to see at least all the nominated movies before members get to vote. But honestly, The Oscars is just a fun spectacle and certainly, from the audiences point of view, I don’t think it makes a whole lot of difference to what we go to see in theatres. My perception of movies that go straight to streaming as opposed to a release in theatres, is that the movie isn’t very good and the studio doesn’t have confidence in it. I think this is changing, but I think a theatre release for however long followed by a quick streaming release is the way it’s heading. The Monkey trailer looks fun - Looking forward to seeing this in theatres, although I did watch LongLegs on Prime recently and I wasn’t that impressed. I’m surprised it’s taken the industry 40 years to remake Gremlins. It’ll be good for new audiences, who’ve never seen the original, which I love. Same for The Goonies. Basically everything will eventually get remade or rebooted and as long as they’re done well, I don’t really have a problem with it. Bring ‘em on!

Our home came so close to just being burned down in LA, a MASSIVE source of our business income through TikTok was just ERASED. This is so disrespectful to attack us like this. Most movie podcast channels haven’t even mentioned Lynch yet. WE ALSO went into depth on him in our last Letterboxd Recap episode where we dedicated the first 10 minutes to only Lynch
