Elsa picks the wrong cup purposely for Donovan to kill him. It's very obvious how she looks at Indy, and she even explains later that the cup is not made of gold.

When I was about 6 McDonalds sold Indiana Jones movies. The selection was random. I hoped for Last Crusade but they gave us Temple of Doom. Yes…McDonalds giving out a dark gory movie to a child. The 1990s rocked.

This was my brother and I's favorite too and still is now! I think we enjoyed it the most because it was the least scary of the 3. And the comedy is perfect.

@ it still had some scary moments like when Donovan chooses “poorly” haha, but yeah definitely more lighter as a response to the reception towards the dark tone of Temple of Doom and great to see Indy fighting the Nazis again!!

I have always viewed the library scene as a purposeful illusion. The X cant be seen from the ground, and the climbing of the stairs just adds dramatic tension! A close rival to the first movie, I especially love how Henry Sr. does not call Jr. "Indiana" until he's truly about to lose him, and that makes Indy forget about the grail. Great episode!

I love these vids guys. Hot take: I think Sean Connery CARRIES this movie. His chemistry with Ford is just unbelievable. One of the best duos ever on screen, and I love how their relationship develops throughout the film. However, I think the plot is far too derivative of Raiders. One thing I appreciated about Doom is it felt like a fresh new adventure. This feels like they’re going back to all the old tropes from the first one and playing it safe. Sallah and Marcus are back, Nazis are the villains, there’s a biblical artifact, and the tank battle is just the truck chase all over again, even down to Indy riding a horse. The heart of the film is its strongest element, but to me the adventure part is just very familiar.

This is definitely the best Indy film in terms of writing and character work. I really wish we had more epic fun adventure films like Indiana jones. Sean Connery and Harrison Ford as leads who’d of thought back in 1989. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the year in the prologue is revealed AFTER the reveal that the guy in the Indiana Jones outfit is not Indiana Jones. So, I'm certain that they were misleading the audience for the fun of it.

This is a great end to Indiana Jones. Personally, giving Indiana an end like Dial of Destiny goes against the intent of Steven Spielberg who wanted it to be serial like the James Bond stories.

Disagree. We should have had 5, but the last two needed to be better. Case in point: a professional writer did a page one rewrite of the fourth film and titled it INDIANA JONES AND THE TOMB OF SHADOWS, and uploaded on Reddit. It is just as good as the original three
