I’ve just read it and I’ve gotta say, I have a bit more of an appreciation for this films animators now. Considering it was made in a few months by talented artists in the animation program equivalent to Microsoft PowerPoint, it’s pretty impressive they ended up with what they did. It must have been so frustrating to be a genuinely talented traditional animator stuck using this disgrace of a program with no prior 3D animation experience.

I think I figured out the candle-bit! The girls are looking at the decorations around the houses and commenting on them. When they get to Ricky's place, the only thing that they see that could even pass as a decoration is the candle. Thus Nicole commenting on it, and the wall-nut-girl thinking she was being mean, since Ricky's family is too poor to get decorations like everyone else. Still not funny and super confusing though... and yeah I'm two years late on this but I love this vid and I've re-watched it too many times to count XD (Well, if listening to it in the background while playing games counts as "watching") Also that dad-rock-song at the end of the dino-movie legit slaps XD

The director claimed at one point that the audio files from her first take got corrupted and she refused to come back to re-record everything, so the editors decided to just make it a character thing instead and have Black Ranger record a joke referencing it at the end.
