It sounds like it’s about 60 beats per minute, which would make 3600 beats in an hour. Cooper said it’s 7 years per hour on that planet, and 7 years is 2555 days. So I think it sort of works out like they said

Idk how dude in the middle came to the conclusion that Coop also left for his own selfish reasons trying to relive his glory days? What he did was extremely selfless because he could easily die during the mission in an attempt to save humanity and his kids so they have a future. He was also the best pilot NASA ever had they probably wouldn’t have gotten far without him either. Idk that just seemed like very shortsighted remark in my opinion

so apparently, when they're first entering Miller's planet, there's a spec in the water. That was the first astronaut. They just missed him before his death.

@@orangewarm1 The wave had just swept him/her away by the time they landed. That scene where they break through the clouds, looking down, you can see something in the water.

There's also a theory that they could still save Doyle, if the shock of the wave didn't kill him. His suit could have kept him alive for several hours so several decades on Earth.

The most amazing part, is that Hans was given so little to work with. His brief was basically "write me some music for a movie about a father-daughter relationship." Nolan didn't want there to be any preconceived notions about subject or plot, he just wanted something that was *impactful*. And God damn, did Hans deliver. 🙌

Finally I'm not the only one thinking that Coop was a bit selfish in doing what he did. If I was his daughter I would have resented him for leaving me. 🤷🏼‍♀

I love this movie. It's my favorite Nolan movie. I don't know why they just don't go near Uranus and find the Ring Gate. Plenty of habital planets. After watching the Expanse it's great to have more hard science portrayed to wrap our heads around. Love Case and Tars. They're so unique and cool. Good catch on the time dilation stuff.
