Impressive man! Im up to a little over 5000 titles myself from collecting over years, DVD mainly. Physical media is definitely important for so many reasons.

I have 300 something movies for sell in bundle. Mainly DVD, but there's like 10-15 blu-ray. More movies are coming. I'm purging my collection before moving again next sommer. 1000$ free shipping. The price will stay the same even if I add 100 titles in the next 2-4 months. Many I've cut out without hesitation, but there's dozens that I've rewatch and I decided that I did not wanted/needed to see it again for X reason. I've still got couple dozens of movies to watch before I sell the bundle. There's a lot of good movies, some cult, horrors, thriller, classics. I could provide you a list. Could buy just a couple too.

Incredible collection … I started collecting Disney laserdiscs in the 90’s (which I still have). I then moved on to DVD / blu ray / 4k over time. I usually give away the older format to friends if I upgrade. Most of my 4k titles are new titles rather than upgrading blu rays I already own. The current split between 4k and blu ray is about 20/80. The focus for this year is to target specific directors … Hitchcock, Cronenberg, Lumet, Fincher, Villeneuve etc …

I still love watching Blu Ray movies on my Plasma TV. The blacks are dark and inky, and just LOVE the grain while watching the classics.

Hello, first time on this channel, just like watching people's various collections! Those are not jewel cases, they're generally called amarays, even though they're not necessarily made by Amaray company, and the white ones are usually Scanavo, the steelbook company. Gladiator had a dozen various special editions, different steelbooks with booklets, art cards, etc. The Punisher remake from 2004 is available on Blu-ray in an extended cut in Germany. You have a very 'American' collection, but it seems you don't mind importing.

Your collection is nuts dude. I've only got a few hundred myself. My collection is mostly 4K, with a decent chunk of Blu-ray. Generally, I buy 4K if it's available, but it's gotta be bare minimum Blu for me. One of the two movies I really wanted on Blu was Beavis and Butthead Do America and it finally happened in December. Really need Wag the Dog to hit Blu at some point. As someone who collects Blu-ray and vinyl, just sticking with ELO is probably a good call. Records get expensive to buy and to upkeep fast.

Thanks for putting this together! It was fun looking at all the cool movies you have :) I did end up adding some to my want list though... Not that it's big enough already lol. My collection is much smaller (I think it's just under 200 items?) but I would love to eventually have an awesome collection like you someday :) Taking it slow and steady though!! (Also I collect other things like video games and books which kinda makes collecting movies much slower 😅)

Hello! I won’t buy too many 4Ks. I have some, but my primary focus is just getting Blu-Rays. Most companies haven’t fully moved to 4K yet, the market hasn’t taken off, and the transfers don’t usually have a huge increase in quality, especially for older movies. I hear the same complaints about transfers on the classics for some 4Ks that I’ve heard for Blu-Rays for years. Unless I specifically hear the 4K is a vast improvement for a classic film, I don’t seek 4Ks!

It's so hard to find BluRays in Canada now! Walmart has limited selection HMV closed it doors Sunrise Records has closed it doors Best Buy doesn't have movies anymore London Drugs has a limited selection It's just not the same buying from Amazon...
@TheCommentNinja812 жыл бұрын
For real Best Buy don't have movies anymore ??! We only left Wal-Mart and pharmacies for new blu-rays? I mostly buy used in pawnshops, thrift stores and specialized stores.
