Jan Žižka” is a Czech historical film from 2022, directed by Petr Jákl. This film is the most expensive Czech production to date, with a budget of approximately half a billion Czech korunas. Ben Foster portrays the main character, Jan Žižka, the legendary Hussite military leader who never lost a battle. The story is set in the late 14th century when the Lands of the Bohemian Crown are plagued by tyranny and violence. Jan Žižka and his mercenaries are hired to protect the king’s representative. Jan demonstrates his strategic and combat abilities and is eventually entrusted with serving King Wenceslaus IV himself.
