Can you use Movie Studio to live record video this way as well if you have a camera and microphone both attached to your computer? That would make workflow a lot smoother when doing retakes for a music video.

Hi great tutorial! BUT I have been looking for instruction as to how to adjust the GAIN on the track itself...or does this have to be done during the initial input. I am wanting to do some multi track recording and I am familiar with MS16 and would rather just use it to demo my songs rather than spend the time on a learning curve for a separate DAW.

Also, vegas uses your windows mic settings, so be sure to make sure windows is using a high sample rate like 48khz

Also...will Home Studio 16 be compatible with audio interfaces like the Scarlett 4i4. I don't have a USB mic

Would you happen to know why my audio just isn’t recording? I have the arm etc there and the green sound part that you can see when you’re talking won’t show up. I also have a windows and the same microphone as you

Be sure its plugged in before you start vegas

Too much talking and you never showed how to reduce recording level so it doesn't peak. That was the whole reason I even opened up this tutorial. Windows Sound Device input setting doesn't work either.
