I mean snoring is something I will forgive but the rest would drive me insane.

I used to love going to the movies. I would go a lot and during the year or two i had moviepass i went twice a week. But its not worth it anymore. I paid to set up a media room, projector, surround sound, power recliners, etc. at this point a movie theater is a downgrade. If you can't set up a media room, get a nice tv or VR headset and be done paying $50 plus dollars for a bad experience.

@@Baneling93 i also have my own little theater. 4k projector, 120 inch screen, surround sound. It's the way to go and much less expensive than one would think. It can be done diy.

@@oldrestless it really is more affordable than a lot of people would think. I had a company come in and set mine up all in one go, but you could absolutely piece it together for less, especially if you keep and eye out for things to go on sale.

#truth. When I worked at a theater 30 years ago.....a high percentage of the ticket price went straight to the film company. The theater made their money off the concession stand. If a movie was out for a long time and at a $99 theater....by that time the theater made 90% of the ticket price. So in all honesty, the movie theater made more money off the ticket price the longer the movie was out. I'm not sure how it works today. Mike

As much as I like to see a big event movie with an audience that is really enjoying the film I'm getting to that age (48 here) where I can't even bother with driving to a theater and sitting through 20 minutes of trailers and sitting for another 2 hours while my butt starts to ache. I think the best solution is watching a movie during the weekday preferably afternoon that way people are at work and noisy kids are still in school.

Are you asking which is better? I had to leave so I cannot say definitively due to not seeing end. What I did see I would lean towards Smile 1 being better.Mike

Yep, modern people are inconsiderate assholes, the food is insultingly overpriced and the cinema screen isn't significantly better than your big screen TV at home, in fact, often the colour range is inferior. And the seats aren't comfortable unless you pay even more money. And you can't pause/rewind. Or put subtitles on. I guess that the sound's better in a cinema. When assholes aren't talking, snoring and farting over it. Furthermore, you don't need to spend 20 minutes watching a bunch of ads when watching movies at home. Or pay for parking and petrol.
