Originally I liked Elemental, it's pretty, and I love the different parts of the town. But the plot, the plot doesn't work. If the water was shut off in Firetown, why do they need up to date pipes?? Wade was incredibly manipulative, when Amber was running after him explaining why he can't report their home, he reports it, then she breaks down and he goes "Why didn't you tell me?!" Or how it was their responsibility to find out why there's a leak, like, no?? He reported her father's business it's not her job to find the cause of ACID IN HUMAN TOWN. And when she breaks up with him because she doesn't want to fail her father, he shows up and outs her to the entire family. That's one of the worst things he could do, now she'd be exiled from her entire family, possibly all of fire town and become homeless.
