Well, the king was described in the past as basically foaming at the mouth so the spitting is very accurate and probably at least partly intentional.
@BelenPeralta13 жыл бұрын
He’s also a spitter, like when he gets on stage he just ends up spitting a lot

Fun fact Philip dies after 19 songs in Act 2, which is how old he lived to be. The entire musical has 47 songs which is how old Hamilton lived to be.

My favourite songs are actually Burrs songs. Wait for it, room where it happens and dear theodosia. Also love Satisfied and Burn. Also I now lobe the name Theodosia because of this musical, I'd never heard it before.

The black things on the King's robe are part of the pattern of the ermine fur - I believe they are the tails. Also, Jonathan Groff (the King) is a habitual spitter - he just upped it because of the madness angle.

Also he walks ‘like that’ because the crown is very heavy and contains his microphone. He had to balance it basically to keep it on his head.

Fun Fact about Hamilton: Peggy Schuyler(Jasmine Cephas Jones) and John Laurens(Anthony Ramos) are engaged IRL and Layfeyette(Daveed Diggs) is dating an original ensemble cast member that you don’t see in the film her name is Emmy Raver-Lampman. Another Fun Fact: Jasmine, Anthony, Oak and Daveed play different roles in Act 2 Last Fun Fact: Look out for a special character know as The Bullet in Act 1 before the song Right Hand Man starts

I love that you realized that Burr was shady right from the start. Hamilton had flaws too, but Burr was threatened right from the start.
@Svp3rN0va-xoxo Жыл бұрын
I mean he really wasn't His uncle was abusive, which explains him hiding everything- he was an opportunist as well. And tbh, reading back on his life, he was one of the least problematic ones then, including Laurens. He was anti-slavery(he still had slaves, but he did support abolishing it), he went against Hamiltons anti-immigrant thing, he tried to pass a bill that said that women could have education. He taught his badass daughter to shoot on horseback- he wanted, and taught his daughter to be more than just a housewife. He started the duel not only because of Hamilton picking Jefferson, but also because Hamilton was talking sh!t about Burr AND his dead wife- he demanded Hamilton apologize, or at least explain why he said those things. Hamilton refused to give any reasonings, so he declared the duel. Thank you for listening to my rant about how Burr isn't the villain 😭😭 (None of them are, none of them are the heros either)

There’s just no way I can pick a favorite. They’re all my favorite. My Shot, Satisfied and Washington on your side if I had to chose.

Hamilton is a 4-6 hour musical squeezed into 3 hours. This is why it took me a few rewatches before I understood what was going on as I struggle to hear the words when they sing and inevitably lost interest the first few rewatches as I lost the plot (didn't think to put the subs lol) So well done for paying attention so well!

Would I marry a poor man? - I did!! I married my high school sweetheart when I was 17 and he was 18- and, we always said "It's me and you against this world".... It was, and it still is, this way..."Us against this world" (During fat times, as well as lean times)... Money means so little- It's the integrity of a person that matters.

One last time and say no to this. Jasmine cephas Jones can sing she played Peggy schuyler and Maria Reynolds. I love her voice and her fiancé Anthony Ramos played John Lauren’s and Philip Hamilton 💓🦋

King George spitting is some sort of technique to project his voice more. Jonathan Geoff is the actor who plays king George so during the play, they called it the Geoff sauce.😀

He has a habit of spitting, he was also struggling to sing because of the British accent.

"Would you marry a guy who was poor?" I did when I was 23. We were both poor. If I married in my 40's, they would have to be a little established. The financial differential creates a power differential. I'm not having that.

I get to usher at a local theater and see the Broadway touring companies when they come through. I love seeing these shows. I'm looking forward to seeing Hamilton next year. The the theater closed during Dear Evan Hansen when they closed everything for covid. It was a wonderful show as well. They made a movie of it too and it's coming out in September. I hope it's as good as the play.

"Would you marry someone poor." Financial disparity leads to a power differential which leads to abuse and resentment. I wouldn't marry someone with substantially less income than me. I can take care of myself if needed and so should he.
