Actually, in the novel she brought the book home to her dad. Her grandmother and mom were also there. I hated her mom in the book. She literally left the house to go to the store when Lindsey brought the book home. Her dad says to her in the book, "Now do you believe me?" He was happy that Lindsey believed him and found evidence on the rapist pig that killed his daughter, her sister. Only difference is that there was no lock of Susie's hair in the notebook in the book, only in the movie.

Unfortunately, with technology the way it was back then, even with a book full of damning evidence, he was able to go on the run, elude capture, and continue his murderous ways for what I believe was another 13 years (according to the book) before dying in 1987. With today's technology he would have been located and brought to justice within a few months (at most) after being identified as a serial killer.

I've fell on my back like that and it feels like your drowning. You get the air knocked out of you

Yea I assumed the wind got knocked out of her so she was trying to recover and catch her breath so she could get up.

It's really creepy how he can just sense that someone is in his house, like an animal or something.

She and her sister are clutch when it comes to action. Suzie was clutch when she saved her brother from choking.

The scariest part is that he seemed so normal in the beginning, so sweet and trustworthy. Things like this really happen

The mother is horrible and didn’t even care to find out. Unlike Jack and Lindsey. It’s unfortunate that couldn’t convict him or catch him.

this movie teaches kids to not go off with strangers
@disneytoysr4fun9754 жыл бұрын
he wasn't a stranger tho, he was the neighbor and her parents talked to him a lot. I think it teaches kids to trust your instincts.

I'm late lol. But it's usually not strangers, it's someone they know in 90% of the cases

My mom actually had to leave the room during this scene because she thought Lindsey was gonna get caught and killed - she returned just in time for the end of the scene, thank God!

Is there anything better than the defeat of a wretched creature such as him? I love when the “bad guy” realizes they are about to be destroyed.

I don't buy her as the younger sister. She could pass for 15 or 16 considering she was 20 or 21 at the time that's normal. I wouldn't believe she was 13.

That was sort of the point in this scene she looks older but if you watch the beginning scenes she looks like a little kid she played a lot of different ages in this film.

In the book she only takes a page from the notebook, I prefer the movie in this situation because it had her hair in it too so it would provide more evidence
@nategrimes66369 жыл бұрын
As smart as it is to include her taking the full book and the added in evidence, the writers had to change some key parts later on. I enjoyed the movie and the book but it would have been done differently if I was the writer of this film.

systemofadwn_ one thing that lowkey annoyed me was that while i understand its not enough for an arrest i feel like the book was enough for a search. Like how is a grown man with a bunch of little girls hair not an alarm.

How does this film end..I could only watch the first few minutes..Did they catch the Guy..Did the Family get some closure knowing what happened to their daughter..
