I like her lines, because for all too many people that line is pretty much all many people have to use to carry on mutual experiences of life. People like to be relevant. so to pull up old experiences to become relevant is all they have. At least she is honest. That's what makes her stories worthy to the other person.

The last time I used that quote was at a State fair, in Colorado. I passed by a firefighters booth and they were being loud so I gently said, “this one time in band camp”. They all stopped and looked.. My Julie at the time said, “what, you shoved a flute up your p…..” I kindly replied, “well, i played the Clarinet, so…”😂

You know...? I had heard about this line since the movie came out. Never saw any but the last one (A. Wedding)... I'm honestly surprised that she never mentioned flutes. I always auto-filled something dirty, and was strangely let down. 😕

Was after this movie that people in the U.S. started talking like band camp girl. Instead of saying "One time at Band Camp," she goes "One time, at Band Camp, ...., ...., Very irritating way to speak IMHO. Nowadays I her less people talk like her 😁
