Check out the Daily Show, Steven Colbert, South Park, and many others. We have a very long history of making fun of our own society, leaders, religions, political problems, etc. Some of them are really good. Basically if it is bad and in particular if it bashes U.S. culture and politics, some film crew, story writer, comedian, or comic strip artist will take advantage of it and make a huge joke out of it, Team America: World Police is one example of it. And yea some peoples children and their "witty" comebacks. One can only hope they grow out of it I guess.
