FILM DESCRIPTION:
During the 1980s recession, automobile engineer Jack (Michael Keaton) is fired from his job. When his wife, Caroline (Teri Garr), finds a job before he does, they switch roles, placing him in the unfamiliar position of homemaker and caretaker to their three children. He embarks upon a series of misadventures, from navigating grocery store trips to playing poker games with housewives. Jack and Caroline must figure out the intricacies of their new roles while maintaining their relationship.

2 things I love- Jack’s face at the end- knowing that if he won it could hurt his wife’s career, and how pleased Martin Mull is with himself- “I DID IT!!” 🤣🤣🤣

They wanted too much money so they made their own made for TV sounding version and it ended up being better than the Vangelis version.

My favorite scene in the movie! The swim flippers at the beginning, the coworkers trying to stop him, and the “I did it!” at the end are priceless 😂

This showed how much he loved his wife remember her boss insulted him before this and the fact he knew threw it for her means he loved her and didn't want to cause her problems at work

This is one of my favorite 80’s comedies. Michael Keaton has always been one of my favorite actors and the whole cast makes this movie just so enjoyable to watch. They don’t make great movies like this anymore. The 70’s and 80’s movies were amongst the best. So glad that I grew up in that era.

@@unstepintime yeah. I just always found it amusing that Carolyn’s coworkers are so hell bent on Ron winning; it’s almost like they’re scared he’s gonna fire them all? When really only Carolyn’s job would be in jeopardy. Her female coworker looks beyond distressed in the final stretch right before Jack throws it. Lol

R.I.P. Martin Mull. Such a wonderful actor. I loved this movie and his Harvey Holroyd in "Serial" (1980).

Basically, Vangelis wanted too much money to use their song so they made their own version of it which many people liked better.
