I stopped listening to his song for many days Idk why but 2 days ago suddenly I started listening "message" by vangelis. And it was raining outside at the same time. I was wondering how he made the music so much soulful. Today i was scrolling through comments in one of his songs where i spot a comment R.i.p. Which literally shocked me...

This song over 30+ years later still has the power to inspire and motivate even the weakest average joe schmo to pick themselves up from the dirt, and continue to strive to accomplish even the most daunting and impossible of tasks; even when everyone else tell them that they can't do it; and just speaking for myself everytime I hear this piece of music, it just somehow gives me that extra kick to just keep on going, and reminds me that even when something or someone tries to hold me down, or hold me back it gives me a reason to persevere and never give up. Rest in peace Sir Vangelis, and may you play this song to welcome me when I run for the pearly gates of Heaven. God bless and God speed sir.

I remember 😊.... when I was in the third grade back in the day, thin as a rail, and it was field day. I was in the relay race, last runner. I had to maintain the lead and The "S" Team would win the race! Foolish me, I started sprinting right out the gate. Soon I was feeling a bit gassed and therefore took a bit of rest as I was quite far in front of #2. I grabbed a Gatorade off one of the tables and sloshed it down. All of a sudden I started hearing Vangelis "Chariots of Fire" start playing through the PA system. I felt a surge, a second wind. I took my shoes and socks off, it was a cork track, and took off once again, Vangelis Chariots of Fire flowing through my veins and onwards to victory 😊

Dear Vangelis, I just want to let you know, whenever your soul may be ascending to, is similar to what you left to us in this world. The burning tears that I had for my late father who passed away on January 12, 2020 is the very same as of May 17, 2022. I believe many also felt the same. You spoke of love, courage, sympathy, greatness and hope like no one else could. When it was and will be difficult, you were the father; friend; light; closer to God and to nature itself for every single heart that listened to you. And for that, I really do hope that heavens exist so we/I can thank you there. All that is left is to carry the blissful smile in honor of your existence that happened once in a lifetime. May your spirit of sound never rest and echo for eternities.

Vangelis had a musical style all his own. The music for "Chariots of Fire", as well as "Blade Runner", and the music for the Mercury Lynx commercials back in the early 1980's is one of the most memorable of all time. Rest in peace Vangelis, and I hope to meet you in the afterlife.

The days when you could have a cigarette without everyone being up in arms. Beautiful piece of music.
@JaniceLHz14 күн бұрын
The days (1980s) when some people were still in denial about the devastating effects of chronic smoking on most chronic smokers and those around them. My friend born in 1981 was having lung problems as a kid from her parents smoking around her indoors. Her doctor told her parents that they should smoke outdoors instead so they did not ruin their daughter's health. Now she has asthma and gets hospitalizing pneumonias because her parents kept smoking indoors around her. While competent adults are welcome to weigh the risks and benefits to themselves, smoking in public or around children causes problems to others. I will continue to urge people to consider the consequences to those around them.

Aura
@tenorlove2 жыл бұрын
That was a serendipitous error. Ora is Latin. It means mouths, but is also the imperative form of the verb orare, to pray. Best known in the phrase "ora pro nobis," pray for us, used in Catholic liturgy. This song IS a prayer of sorts.
@Fairy_princess2142 жыл бұрын
@@tenorlove Of sorts...but not really. So yeah. It should be aura. Nice try at covering, though.
