Funny that we never get to see that tested in T2! I guess everything the T-1000 was shot, it was usually in front of people it intended to kill anyway so it didn't need to fool them with fake blood.

@@cambonious23 Most people who saw Die Hard 2 probably wouldn't notice or remember Robert that much but it was fortunate that James Cameron did considering that Robert's role in Die Hard was relatively minor. That changed with T2 because Robert played the main antagonist opposite Arnold Schwarzengger. And because his character was such a novelty at the time.

Martin Riggs did it against an M-14, Dirty Harry did it against a hitsquad armed with uzis with just a wheel gun, Paul Kersy did it with a beretta 84 (.380 acp, see also purse gun) in deathwish 2. But I’ll admit this was definitely one of my top ten shootout scenes in 80’s and 90’s action. Love the environment, the use of the things in the area as cover, weapons and tools. It’s bordering on genius.

Like all Die Hard films, truly iconic. Great storyline, character, soundtrack, comedy and action, it made it as a great follow up, and like always the iconic Bruce Willis nailing his role as John McClane. The perfect family "Christmas Movie", as they say just like its first, despite me watching it in April. What a time it was, when this film was set, and how times have changed, a great throwback honestly. Similar formula to the first, and a great follow up is best described. Its great! 4.26.23

I love how John switches targets, first the guy on the scaffolding, jumps down, still shooting at him, then rolls and shoots at the other guy-then shoots at guy on the scaffolding again. He did suppressing fire with two bad guys. And then reloads (ejects the mag) “Come on!!”

+heavytom89 Too bad the only R-rated action movies that have been all that successful (financially at least) lately are The Expendables 1 & 2 (not 3) and A Good Day to Die Hard. At least that last one gives hope for a Die Hard 6?

What’s memorable about this was that it happened to be Patrick’s 1st “on screen death scene” for he’d have two more films in which he’d hypothetically do so firstly in T2: JD one year later in 1991 by Arnie Schwarzenegger then 6 years after that by Sly Stallone in “Copland” that was released in 1997

As always with all Die Hard films, truly iconic & legendary. A great sequel with a great storyline, soundtrack, comedy, action, emotion, and intensity. A perfect family Christmas film to watch like the original, despite me watching it in April. With another, masterpiece & iconic performance by Bruce Willis, nailing his role as John McClaine as always. What a time it was when this film took place in, especially with how things are today, which really gives you a throwback. Truly amazing. 04.26.23
