Glass like that is pretty much indestructible doesn’t matter how strong a megalodons bite mark is it wasn’t penetrating that glass that’s for sure it’s made to withstand the water pressure which is stronger than the bite strength of any animal. That’s why the glass didn’t crack it’s made of too many layers hence why they weren’t really terrified

Of course there have been a lot (countless) of examples of people and twins knowing that something is wrong that there family is in danger. I've seen it first hand myself, a twin told me her right leg hurt really bad and she was crying even though nothing was wrong but an hour later I was told to tell her that her twin got in a car accident. They will laugh, its called fear. Lots of people react to fear or a tragedy by laughing. They're just trying to act brave and macho, people laughing is a dead giveaway of fear. Don't let them fool you, they're terrified.

Well... that would be more in line if they didn't know there was a Megalodon nearby, because they did know, when Jonas says, "it's okay, it's just a whale." He's not inferring the Whale is what made that mark, he's trying to calm them down as, some people were likely to be scared by the whale as per the intended purpose of it entering rapidly and making a loud noise out of nowhere, it's a jump scare, he's trying to calm them down, they already know there's a Meg, seeing the bite marks was proof enough.

Scur Reith That’s not really my point, it’s more about how distant the special effects feel when the actors clearly don’t know what they’re looking at. Same thing as when the whale hits the glass and the guy doesn’t even flinch. I don’t care how much prior knowledge of a megalodon they have, if it pops out of nowhere like that and is thrashing about, I expect a little more reaction than not at all, for tension purposes if nothing else.

the part where the shark is slowly approaching the glass was such a great use of the CGI. the first thought that there’s something approaching and then the shark’s entire face right up against the glass before it bites was very effective, and in my opinion one of the best parts of the movie.
