One of the best Connery's. The final battle is amazingly epic, filmed with real people, in times without CGI and such things.

This movie gets me every time. Jerry goldsmiths beautiful score colors the beautiful camera work. The ending scene with the Raisuli and the little boy chokes me up every time. The kid is completely sold on becoming a brigand nomad and thinks Raisuli is coming for him. Brilliant story telling and performances by the cast. RIP Sean Connery.

Brilliant Milius movie. Red Dawn Morocco style. Sean Connery, lots of guns, horses, gratuitous amount of violence, tyrannical Patriarchy and toxic masculinity on display. I would have forgot the Gold, all 70,000 pieces, and kept Woman and kids and put them in the Harem as 'guests'.
@ludwigsamlander3372 жыл бұрын
Very inconsistent movie: one woman with Stockholm syndrome, one rebel from desert with face of John Connery (where in the history? Normally people in the desert having faces more old because the extreme sun), an undersized task force for the assigned mission, no use of main guns from battleship to give a consistent advice for "someone". The only good scene when is when marines making assault of power palace.
