I don't think that he's a goblin at all! He's probably a pukwudgie. Pukwudgies are native to North America, and are distantly related to European goblins but they are still a separate species. This is probably the case because in the other movies we saw that goblins are small with stubby arms and legs. Also goblins have wrinkly faces, even the young ones. This guy is short but his arms are long and lanky. Also his nose and ears are curved in shape, whereas goblins have pointed noses and ears. However according to Native American lore Pukwudgies are just as greedy and tricky as goblins. The also don't like humans. Scamander is clearly about to get set up. Sorry for the long post.

For an untrained eye, maybe. Sure, the motion capture looks fine in the face, and the 3D model itself is great. But the problems are that the body movements are unnatural, and that it's entirely pointless to make this in CGI when they didn't need to make them CGI in ANY of the 8 Harry Potter movies. So, no. We do not "complain just to complain".

Yeah, I honestly think the CGI looks too much like CGI too. I usually am fine with CGI more than most... but this is just lazy, using CGI obviously looking like CGI instead of practical effects. It gives a showcase to a common problem with modern movies.

Good film. Goblin CGI wasn't great but thunder bird looked amazing and Newt's other beasts look good too. Niffler is fun. Sad that 2nd movie is dense and hard to watch due to badly written villain. And second is a hot garbage
