There is NOBODY like "THE HAMMER". I truly love and admire this Brother. He has always been a dynamic positive image for all people, and certainly for his own. I wish him peace and prosperity and many more ventures and years of success. We love you Fred.

I grew up watching these movies and Fred Williamson's had a huge impact on the young man that I was. Even at a young age I was tired of seeing movies with so called "black men" in subserviant roles and so called "white men" as heroes. But this was not the case in my day to day life; where "brothers" were the heroes. Much thanks to Fred Williamson for being truly being a man in every sense of the word. In short he embodied the hero. Honors and thanks to you Fred Williamson.

Pam Grier, Jim Brown and Richard Roundtree are still active in the business. Grier just starred in Cleveland Abductions for Lifetime. Brown starred in Draft Day with Kevin Costner and Roundtree stars in the hit show Being Mary Jane on BET.

Fred Williamson and each Black Actor he named all looked at the way they handled their business and financesin different ways. All he named are successful. Successful people, if you notice. usually have their hands in many different pies.

Its an informative piece of bare knuckle history of a product of the forties generation period, not just black. Pioneering and entrepreneurial , he went in with what he knew and did not worry about what he didn't know. Not to mention the casting couch with casting directors. Don't think he didn't. But he still had a formidable and educated career. People who went to film school and didn't get no where near his work still hate him. I met him standing in line at a cleaners picking up a suit for his son. Nice guy if you have good questions.

Fred and I are working on a film called SMITH AND WESSON. We tried an indiegogo campaign but did not raise the needed capital.Shows you how hard it is to make films even for a legendary black star!

Checkout Fred Williamson's new bio on Amazon.com. It's called The Hammer: An American Icon by Harold D. Edmunds. It's an informative bio.

I used to see him on the Merv Griffin show, all decked out, and carrying what would later be called a "murse." Aside from being very handsome and athletic, he was actually witty, a very entertaining guest.

This is what upsets me about so-called "Black Hollywood." Mr. Williamson has to go looking for 1-2.5 million dollars to make a film and people like Tyler Perry, Wil Smith, Oprah Winfrey and a few hip-hop artists won't lend him the money. That's why there is no Black Hollywood because black people will not work together yet they all can do one thing very well above all others and that is put their lips together and call another black person a bitch.

He would get the money if another rich Black star would loan him the money. I can't believe that there isn't a rich millionaire out there who would loan Williamson the money. That's messed up. I guess he has to call all of them up one by one and ask for a loan.

This tells you that he can't be controlled! The money goes to those under the control of the money-masters; the same devils causing all of the race hate and political correctness who want to sell lies instead of truth!

The first is to really try to play him is other blacks in a position to help promote. You'd be surprised how thick and muddy jealousy makes things. He is on both sides of a camera with no formal training. He never wore a dress or burned candles in a secret fraternity or bent over to pick up soap. Thats beyond intimidating. He's not a dramatic persona. He's minimal with that and surrounded by people who don't resist it.

Williamson is a mans man. There is a great book for men called How to Be a Man by Harold D. Edmunds. This book gives advice regarding dating, marriage, divorce, baby mama drama, work, education, etiquette, self-defense, exercise, child rearing, sex, crime and cooking among other topics. You can read an excerpt on Amazon.com or harolddedmunds.com. This book is a must read for all men.
