Fred Williamson has done it all. Track and field athlete, a professional football player, and won a super bowl championship ring, a martial artist, an architect, lead actor and stunt man, film writer, film director, producer, and he owns a movie company, called Po' Boy productions. That is quite an accomplishment, and achievement. !!!

Fred Williamson is extraordinary however you do not need to destroy others . Mr. W is great and there are plenty others that are doing their thing and making money. Eg. LeBron, Shaq, Magic, Deion,... This list can go on forever. If a man gets up everyday and picks up garbage and takes his check ,puts food on his table, puts his children thru college, loves his wife, and pays his bills... He is great and doing all that is expected of him

@@jusrollin6331Well Fred Williamson is great and old enough to be LeBron's grandfather, and the other legends - their father. Not the same thing because when he grew up he drank from a different drinking fountain than whites, and went to the back of the bus. I do agree with the second part of your post as I can relate to it myself as a father, a hard worker, and served in the U.S. military.

And the thing about that slap is that it was not written in the original script. Sidney Poitier’s own Manhood demanded a response to being slapped by a racist “White” man and responded in kind. After getting over the shock of it all they decided to leave it in the film and the rest is history. Mr. Poitier deserves more credit then most of us give him when it comes to the roles that he played in films.

@@abdullahrasheed1493 well said! Folks always try to juxtapose him and his movies with the hyper masculinity of the blaxploitation era. But I challenge anyone to find a moment, a scene, where he didn’t exempt masculinity. No hat in hand. No overcompensation. Just simply dignified manhood.
