Turned warm here yesterday and today has been in the 70s! 69 eggs! Wow that is a haul. Stripper trying to get out of that box in a hurry worried me. She got hung up on that lip. Magoo seems to still be hanging with her, I like those 2. Matt, you sound so much better! I do believe you were really iller (is there such a word?) than you realized. Between the let down after the end of the season and that tree limb smacking you in the head your body was just overwhelmed. Looking forward to all the different ducklings and goslings. Dug, you sound in fine form, bark at those crows dear. Don't let them get the upper wing. (Grin) Stay warm and safe.

The expansion is awesome, and so much more food for the homeless. I worry about Stripper and Magoo though getting lost in the crowd and trampled. Stripper already gets run over a lot.

We know you work extremely hard to make the duck adventure work. I'm excited to see the mix of ducks /geese you end up with. Time up upgrade to a 5 gallon pail for your eggs, it's a good problem to have.

I was so looking forward to the hatch this year but the support the Metzer people are giving you trumps that completely. 2000 ducklings will make for a really epic duck rush to the lake. I was wondering did you consider doing a small hatch, 100 or 200 ducklings, to provide the next generation for your current flock? You have some great looking birds, just would like to see them passing on their genes to some new ducks.

HI Dale, Yes I feel the same way you do.....I'm going to miss the hatch if Matt doesn't do one, but 2000 ducks is amazing. I wonder if Metzers will donate the usual Pekins or if they'll send Matt some cool breeds. I looked at their website & they have all kinds of ducks. ( I doubt Matt will do a hatch because the big incubator costs a fortune to run, but it would sure be nice if he can.)
