Well I think they're perfect for each other. At first she didn't want to admit to herself that she likes him. She made plans but never took any advantage of him. She wanted him for real. So finding out how "it wasn't mutual/or that he tried to do something behind her back" made her rethink the relationship. I really don't see your point.

Not really a satisfying love story when all the woman can think about is her career. This guy loses in the end too he doesn't really gain anything. Lucy is all about her career and Josh gave up his for her. So their "love" means nothing. What does this teach women, that they can have it all easily which is a false narrative. When you lose something materialistic it humbles you. Well Mary Sue Lucy got it all so she learns nothing except that her most important person is herself. Love and family should be important between men and women but it no longer is and it's sad. And really how many times has this sh*t been done 😝

Josh didn’t lose his career. He went to work for a better company in a better position. He hated Bexley so he actually wins. Lucy loves Gamin, but likewise hates Bexley so by staying she will have to keep working with him. You should read the book. It has a lot more detail in understanding how much Josh has always been in love with Lucy. He explains how he didn’t smile when he first met her and she gave him the plant because he was so speechless he couldn’t say anything. He also talks about how he felt when he looked at her during meetings. I know they have to cut a lot of details to condense it into a movie, but those little details would have been nice if they had been included.
